so in this short scripture, we have this about Babylon.. Babylon:
-sits upon many waters
-Kings from around the world committed fornication with her
-she made the world drunk with her fornication
-sits upon a scarlet coloured beast with names of blashpemy with7 heades and 10 horns
-dressed in purple and scarlet
-accessories: gold and diamonds / precious stones
-holding a golden cup full of abominations and filthiness from her fornication
-she was drunk with the blood of saints and with the blood of marytyrs of Jesus
-And she was admired (great)
ok. all of this is symbolic, obviously. luckily, i have been into dreams and its symbolism the last few years, so breaking this down wasnt as hard as it could have been. now let me tell you why Babylon is America:
sits upon many waters- America is surrounded by Atlantic, Pacific, and the Gulf of Mexico
Kings from around the world committed fornication with her- Babylon is the "whore" so "fornication" is symbloc for dirty business. All the "kings" from around the world come here to do business
she made the world drunk with her fornication -
sits upon a scarlet coloured beast with names of blashpemy with 7 heades and 10 horns-
dressed in purple and scarlet - the symbolism here is the colors- purple: royalty, high rank, justice, wealth and dignity. scarlet: Flagrantly immoral or unchaste. basically very sinful.. (another reference to scarlet in the Bible:Isaiah 1-18
come now, and let us reason together, said the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow)... i think the colors definitions / symbolism are self-explanatory.
accessories: gold and diamonds / precious stones- this is clearly just referencing the whores appearance and what they value.. gold and diamonds, which can relate to money and fame, self absorbed, living for the world and the worlds glory. look at what "america" loves and obsesses over, here, its all about fame (much more than any other nation. in fact, america is commonly known around the world to be obsessed with fame.) america loves / lusts money, jewelry, flashy things, etc... so again, this description fits america to a T.

And she was admired (great)- clearly, america is looked at around the world as the great nation. look at america as if america is on a pedal-stool for its "greatness" as a nation.
