Wesley Snipes is at SDCC 2015 with some exciting bit of news: while promoting his new NBS series, The Player, he told Deadline that he's been in talks with Marvel about reprising his role as Blade.
Said Snipes, "The project is controlled by Marvel and we did have a really productive and a wonderful meeting and we discussed a number of things. I don’t know where it’s on their schedule at this point, that hasn’t been decided. I guess it’s still up in the air."
Even if he doesn't get to play Blade, he'd be open to playing another role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe:
"I've always been a fan of these pieces and adaptations and I'd be nice to be a part of the family again. But if we don’t to a 'Blade 4' or something else with Marvel, we’ll do something else."
The last Bladefilm, Blade: Trinity, released in 2004. Snipes' new series arrives this Fall.
Well, this is certainly a nice little tidbit to know. More on this as we learn it!
