Lets take a deeper view and analyse what that remix really meant to Jay's current place in hiphop...now there's nothing wrong wit the other person on the track having a better verse, or slightly outperforming you, but not to that extent...
Kendrick really left Jay miles behind on that shyt, I don't like what this represents, cuz to me it means that Jay's time really is over, as an elite mc, I don't think that Jay can compete at that level any longer. And, yes I will say it regardless of how cliche it may sound, but that shyt would have NOT happened to Nas or a Common, shyt even Ye wouldn't have got did like that.
Kendrick could also have let Jay heard the final product and made any changes if desired, not sure if he did or not, so not going to go by assumptions, but go with what we have, and what we got, as unintentional as it maybe is a signal pointing to the end of Jay's run at the highest level.
