5th Letter-Where are you from?
P. Town- Louisville, KY. Raised in the Westend, lived all over the city.
5th Letter- If you don't mind answering what do you do for a living?
P. Town- I currently work at Ford. Great money, bad parking when you drive Chevy.
5th Letter- How did you get into Ford?
P. Town- Was going to school at the University of Louisville but didn't have my money right. Left school for a minute, worked some warehouse jobs here and there then when Ford was hiring in 2012 I applied and got lucky.
5th Letter- What were you studying in college?
P. Town- Business administration. If I stop procrastinating I'll be back on the school shit soon enough.
5th Letter- What do you hope to do if/when you earn your degree?
P. Town- I want the degree for networking purposes for real. You say degree to folks they eyes get big like "Oh you speak Degreenglish??". I have no one field I wanna dive in.
5th Letter-How did you get into hip hop?
P. Town- My uncles used to have systems in they cars. Me and my cousins would ride around with them listening to No Limit, Cash Money, Ball & G but what really got me on it was being little and seeing the Nappy Roots on BET and MTV. I knew rappers before them but seeing dudes from my home was the shit.
5th Letter- How long have you been listening to hip hop?
P. Town- Really my whole life.
5th Letter- What were your first memories of hip hop?
P. Town- I remember all of us being glued to the TV when Master P dropped a video. Master P is like a God in this city. I remember when Nappy Roots dropped it was crazy around here. A member of Nappy Roots was everybody damn cousin you let them tell it. Until them stanky niggas had the whole world thinking Louisville was a one horse town. I remember when Jay-Z dropped that Change the Game and Static Major was singing on there. I remember on Big Tymers album How U Luv That Vol 2 when Birdman had a verse about Louisville. As a kid I was hype about that verse.
5th Letter- Who are your favorite and least favorite rappers? And what are your favorite songs and albums by them?
P. Town- Favorites...Jay-Z, Outkast, UGK, Jadakiss, 8Ball & MJG, Cam'ron etc. Basically what I came up on.
Least favorites...Hoe Gotti, Soulja Boy, Lil Wayne, KRS One, Rick Ross, Drake. All the cornballs. For me it's a difference between not liking a rapper and not liking a rapper's music overall. For example I don't like Big Sean, but I'm not against a Big Sean song if it jams, but don't play no Hoe Gotti around me unless it's the Life album.
As far as favorite albums and songs. It depends on the mood I'm in. One minute The Blueprint is Jay's best album the next week it's Reasonable Doubt.
5th Letter- What you got against them?
P. Town- Hoe Gotti and Rick Ross are 2 of the corniest street/trap rappers ever. Hoe Gotti is boring, bland, repetitive, and a hater. Cocaine Muzik 1 though 55 is the same mixtapes 55 times. Soulja Boy should be self explanatory. Lil Wayne has never been a favorite of mine. Drake's music is too soft. You can bottle dude's albums up and sell them at Bath and Body Works. You already know there is no love for KRS None on this site fam lol.
5th Letter- You wave the confederate flag in support of the south here on the IC what makes you go so hard in defense of the south?
P. Town- That's where I'm from, that's what I came up on. I understand being lyrical plays the biggest part in Hip-Hop but I also understand the culture from different regions and I gravitate more toward what I relate to. I'm from Kentucky fam, I'm a country ass nigga. Outkast, UGK, Gucci, Master P, Boosie, Big Krit, Project Pat, etc they speak about the shit I can walk out the door and see right now. Niggas in Caprice on 26, gold grills, just country ass shit. BREAKING NEWS: I don't fuck with everybody from the South and I don't completely hate NY. The Stanky Leg and all that dance shit, that shit was booty water, so I feel you niggas on that, and just cause I fuck with the South heavy don't mean I think every single one of them can rap. I don't jam no accapella so if you not Canibus but can come with some shit I understand. Soulja Boy and goofy niggas like him from down South I can't get with though. Somebody who can spit will always be top dawg but if you just all lyrics with nothing I can jam I can't fuck with that. Down South rappers know how to make music and for real a lot of them are not as bad as they made out to be.
