PRODIGY IS TOP 15 DEAD OR ALIVE

If he was a solo artist through out his career he might be top 5. Juvenile Hell was trash but then Mobb dropped 3 straight classics with P as the main vocal catalyst, and if yall call Reasonable Doubt a classic then we gon have to call HNIC a classic as well. Over the past couple years he hasn't been on the same level as he was in the 90's but really who is? Not Snoop, Jay or even Nasir. Prodigy still has some great projects with Return of the Mac and Ellesworth Bumpy Johnson EP.

But aside from his body of work, just what he brought to the game was so different from everything else. While you could clearly see influences in everyone's styles from Pac, Big, Nas.. P came with his whole own shit. Like he had no influences. Vocabulary, delivery, just his whole approach and sound was extremely original. His style was just menacing. I think he created the perfect image of New York for out of towners and it was kinda like the yang to how Nas would describe shit on Illmatic.. Even though they were talking about the same projects it was from a completely different perspective. P fathered his whole own genre and to this day I don't see gangster rappers approach their verses from such a creative angle.

Prodigy is hands down a goat.
