Parents, for the love of GOD, please stop perming your little girl's hair.

I took my son to the zoo Tuesday. It was free admission so you know the ratchets and their kids were out.

I was extremely pissed at how many young black girls had NO hair and snatched edges.

One family pissed me off the most. The mom had a struggle ponytail, and all three of her daughters did too. Edges missing, nape missing, thin, broken hair with visible bald spots all gelled down and snatched up in the most pitiful ponytail i've ever seen. If you don't know what a struggle ponytail is, see the picture below:

I was genuinely pissed. Those little girls had to be no older than 4, 6, and 8 and their scalps were damaged already. You could tell that their bald headed ass mama was the culprit because she was just as picky headed as the babies. I just wanted to deep condition their little scalps, hug them and tell them they were beautiful.

There's nothing more beautiful than a little black girl with a natural, thick, pretty head of pigtails. A precious little girl in her natural state.

If you have a little girl, please don't relax her hair. If she decides to make the decision to relax when she's older, explain to her that it is a major change and requires a great deal of patience and tedious care to maintain a healthy head of relaxed hair.

I'm just tired of seeing bad hair care practices being handed down generation to generation.
