Serious question...
why do you prefer one over the other? I aint trying to bash or turn this into a pissing match. Im genuinely curious...
If this thread has been made before, my bad, but i aint going through 127 pages to find it...
But personally speaking for me...i've played both of them extensively so Im not making some empty claims...but i prefer Battlefield...I started playing COD around COD:4 (which imo is the best one to date) and i've played every COD since and quite extensively.
Started playing BF around BF bad company 2 and fell in love with it...
but why is it when someone says they prefer BF over COD, its automatically assumed they just arent good at it?
I like BF over COD b/c it encourages team play. COD is a definitely a lone wolf kinda game...not saying you cant group up with your homeboys and get it in (nh) but in BF, if somebody aint doing the objective, you report them, and they getting removed...simple as that. Plus there arent as many kids playing it dropping N-bombs every other word and stuff like that. COD is very twitch based. I aint no scrub at all, but i think im decent, but the quick scoping and all that is just stupid to me and it annoys me so in order for me to not deal with it, i just rather not play it...
The class system also steers me to BF b/c i dont have to be killing a lot of people to make a contribution to my squad. I dont care about K/D ratio but i think im like .75 but idc...i still get points for reviving, spotting vehicles, disabling vehicles, supplying ammo, etc...i dont have to have a 3.0 K/D ratio to be effective for my team...
dont get me wrong, some players piss me off on BF too b/c sometimes they can camp and not go for the objectives, but again, i just report them or team kill them and all is well...
I dont get mad if im on BF and i get killed b/c someone is shooting through sheetrock whereas people can use that as cover on COD...
my gripe with both games arent really with the games themselves but the lack of people who use the mic. I found that more people tend to mic up on BF than COD...i dont know why that is, but thats what ive noticed in my observation....
but anyway..speak on it...if you are a COD guy, could you find yourself ever giving BF a try? Vice versa...
