Metro Boomin is clearly a fan of the days where one producer and one rapper would team up to record an entire project. This year alone, Metro laced the beats for Gucci Mane's DropTopWop, Nav's Perfect Timing, and Offset & 21 Savage's Without Warning. Today, the prolific Atlanta producer has announced yet another addition to his repertoire - a collaboration album with Detroit rapper Big Sean, called Double Or Nothing. The news was confirmed in an interview with Billboard, who spoke to the duo at their rented house in California.

Metro opens up by explaining why he prefers the single-producer, citing a few key classics as examples. "I was born in ’93,” he says, “and a lot of projects [from that era] had one producer, maybe two. They sounded more cohesive -- better as a whole.” Metro had previously collaborated with Big Sean's I Decided single "Bounce Back," as well as two other tracks from that album. Most recently, they teamed up to deliver "Pull Up N Wreck" with 21 Savage. And while Metro's signature sound has since went on to shape the hip-hop landscape, Double Or Nothing will reportedly find him exploring new styles and genres.


Apparently, the project was made in both Atlanta and Los Angeles, with plenty of spontaneous writing sessions. Basically, Metro would make a beat on the spot, and Sean would follow-suit with lyrics. Sean alleges "on some tracks, the playback will bleed into the microphone, because they recorded without a vocal booth or even a pair of headphones."


While there has yet to be a release date for Double Or Nothing, you never know with these "surprise" albums. It could be dropping next week, or next year for all we know. Two Cincinnati police officers used "horrible judgment" and may have violated department policy when they used their Tasers in an early August scuffle, say experts who reviewed body camera footage. The Aug. 8 incident prompted an extraordinary intervention by the Hamilton County prosecutor in an external city investigation into the use of force and a major showdown between City Manager Harry Black and police union President Dan Hils. the officers clearly did not follow the city police policy of de-escalation when confronting two young men in their mother's living room in Clifton Heights. And then once things escalated, the officers never stated they were arresting the two men and instead pulled their Tasers and eventually used them – a potential violation of CPD’s official use of force policy

This topic has been touched on a little bit in the politics thread but it's a topic that affects us all and our pockets when it comes to paying for internet access.

A few days ago the FCC made the decision to repeal net neutrality laws that were put in place by the Obama administration and on December 14th there will be a vote on the official repeal of these laws.

What this means is that ISPs(Comcast, AT&T U-Verse, etc.) will have the ability to regulate what you can or can't see on the internet. They could block certain websites, slow down certain services like Netflix or Hulu, and charge premiums if you want to reach certain online content. An example is that Comcast owns part of Hulu, without net neutrality Comcast can make Netflix go slow as fuck, prompting Comcast customers to subscribe to Hulu instead, which just puts more paper into Comcast's pockets.

Packages like this could soon become a reality


Everybody needs to be aware of this shit and be prepared when this goes into affect. Most people believe this will pass on December 14th.

My first contribution, a PC game called X-COM 2. I played the first one and it was my first ever experience playing a turn based strategy game. I loved it. The sequel is scheduled for a February 2016 release. Might be a day one cop for me. Idk if i can wait until the Steam spring sale for this one.
