Wu-Tang Forever is the second studio album of American hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan, released June 3, 1997, on Loud/RCA Records in the United States. Pressed as a double album, it was released after a long run of successful solo projects from various members of the group, and serves as the follow-up to their debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Forever features several guest appearances from Wu-Tang affiliates Cappadonna, Streetlife, 4th Disciple, True Master, and Tekitha. The original run of compact discs featured an "Enhanced CD" which allowed users to walk around the "Wu Mansion" and access additional content.

Despite limited radio/TV airplay, and a lead single that famously clocked at nearly six minutes with no chorus, Wu-Tang Forever debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 612,000 copies sold in its first week. The album was certified 4× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on October 15, 1997 (each disc in the double album counted as separate unit for certification purpose), and has sold over 2 million copies in the United States. It is the group's highest selling album to date. Upon its release, Wu-Tang Forever received favorable reviews from most music critics, while it also earned the group a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Album at the 40th Grammy Awards in 1998.

OTTB Debate Topic 2: Is there too much choreography in modern wrestling?

$

This question is born from Vader's objection to the recent Will Osprey vs Ricochet match.

He pretty much called it gymnastics and not wrestling. Says that wrestling should be about storytelling and not flips.

^ that is a gif of an exchange that too place in the match.

I'm inclined to agree with Vader. I know alot of this began with the RVD vs Jerry Lynn matches that were highly choreographed at times. I don't remember seeing wrestling that looks like a Jackie Chan fight scene before that.

This stuff looks cool but it doesn't resemble a fight. It resembles figure skating. I'm all for the aforementioned RVD vs LYNN matches because while some choreography was involved it was kept to a minimum.

To that end, the old head Jim Cornette criticized RVD for having "unrealistic" offense like the Van Terminator and the side kick chair spot.

image

The crux of that argument is that it exposes the business but couldn't one argue the business is already exposed?

One of the Young Bucks defended the Ospray/Ricochet match saying it was storytelling of a different variety and that storytelling isn't all about working a limb.

One Time - This a term for the police but I don't understand the etymology of it. Why this term? I think I heard a rapper once say that the po po are called one time because it only takes one time or one confrontation with them to get someone jammed up?

Using the word "cock" as slang for pussy. I've heard this from NWA, Ice Cube, Eazy E, Kam, basically LA gangsta rappers. How does this make sense on any level?

Bebop & Rocksteady Will Appear In ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2′

For over a year, Jonathan Liebesman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot was the source of constant scrutiny from Shell Heads around the globe. The announcement of Transformers director Michael Bay as producer was only the first in a steady stream of divisive choices – followed by rumored changes to the turtles’ origin story as well as the casting of Megan Fox as April O’Neil.

Following reports that Liebesman is not returning for the Ninja Turtles sequel, with Earth to Echo helmer Dave Green in talks to direct, Brazilian entertainment outlet Omelete has confirmed that Bebop and Rocksteady will appear in TMNT 2 – thanks to an interview with producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form:

“We can say that Bebop and Rocksteady are in the film, and Casey Jones is a character that we love and we’re trying to fit him in as well.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time that we’ve heard Fuller and Form indicate that they wanted to explore Bebop and Rocksteady (as well as Casey Jones) in a TMNT sequel. Here’s what the producers, along with Liebesman, told us back at SDCC 2014 – a month before the reboot had even been released:

Form: We’re just finishing the movie but we all wish that we could put everything into the movie. We all have other characters that we wish we could have had in this movie.

Liebesman: Casey Jones.

Form: Casey Jones. Bebop and Rocksteady. We had those conversations throughout development of this movie but we’re launching this movie now in two weeks. Hopefully everybody feels the same way we do [about it]. We love them [Bebop and Rocksteady].

Steven Spielberg once said that he does "Movie Orgy" every now and again where he will watch several films in over a week's time. Well I recently did this thanks to Redbox and Blockbuster express where films are only a Dollar. From April 6th to 16th over 10 days I watched 18 films, here are the movies I watched, mind you I haven't seen any of them

The Hunger Games (Theater)- C+
Captain America B-
The Hangover II- C
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo- B+
Thor- C +
Contagion- B -
The Killer Elite- D
Hanna- B -
Green Lateran- C +
J. Edgar- C -
In Time- C
The Adventures of Tin-Tin- B -
Real Steel - C +
Drive - A
Colombiana - C+
Zodiac (Finally finished Ficher's Whole catalog) - B +
Vantage Point- C +
Gone Baby Gone- A

It was pretty cool to catch on on so many movies I hadn't seen. Overall, "Gone Baby Gone" and "Drive" had the most impact.

What do you guys think is the best game console of all time

I can say completely objectively that my vote goes to PS2, I got three pieces of evidence to kick this discussion off on

1. Full backwards compatibility with the PS1
2. Devil May Cry, Silent Hill 2, Final Fantasy X, Metal Gear Solid 2, Capcom Vs SNK 2, Grand Theft Auto 3, Jak and Faster all came out in the same year...2001
3. They didn't stop making PS2 games until 2014

Phillipines President Elect Bout That Life Advocates killing D-Boys

$

0
He's been dubbed the "Trump of the East" by John Oliver on Last Week Tonight and it appears that Philippines' president-elect Rodrigo Duterte is living up to that title in at least one regard: Saying what's really on his mind, even if what's on his mind is some really wild shit.

During a nationally televised speech on Sunday night, Duterte flat out encouraged people to pitch to help fight his country's crime problem by shootin' some people. Duterte said he plans to offer bounties to citizens who turn in drug dealers, even if they kill them first.

Here's what he said, via The Associated Press:

"Please feel free to call us, the police, or do it yourself if you have the gun -- you have my support," Duterte said, warning of an extensive illegal drug trade that involves even the country's police.

If a drug dealer resists arrest or refuses to be brought to a police station and threatens a citizen with a gun or a knife, "you can kill him," Duterte said. "Shoot him and I'll give you a medal."

And if you have a drug problem, you might want to avoid this dude also. Duterte reportedly said that he does not believe addicts can be rehabbed. Via Al-Jazeera:

"... if you are involved in drugs, I will kill you. You son of a whore, I will really kill you".

Duterte will be sworn in as the new president of the Philippines on June 30. He was elected after he caved in and 8f80pr3id7s9.jpg
apologized for making a joke about the 1989 gang rape of an Australian missionary, joking that she was "so beautiful" he "should have been first."
