Oft-shot Atlanta rapper Yung Mazi shot in the chest in a Waffle House

ATLANTA – An aspiring rapper in Atlanta who has apparently been shot on multiple occasions was shot in the chest in a Waffle House early Tuesday morning, and the suspect or suspects are at large, according to police.

CBS Atlanta affiliate WGCL reports Yung Mazi is recovering after being shot inside the Piedmont Road Waffle House in Atlanta at about 4 a.m.

Police said Mazi entered the restaurant and was about to order when he was shot.

He is reportedly recovering from the shooting.

Police do not have any suspects in custody.

A description of the suspect or suspects was not immediately available.

In an interview with DJ Smallz Eyes published to YouTube in June, Young Mazi said he has been shot 10 times, although it’s not clear if that was all at once or during multiple instances. He said he had named a recent mixtape “Physical Therapy” because he worked on it recovering from the need to use a wheelchair to get around after getting shot.

He said in the interview that he “keeps getting shot” in part due to his skin tone, the fact that “some people don’t like real dudes,” as well as the expensive accessories he wears.

“I might walk around with a quarter-million-dollars-worth of jewelry on,” Mazi said in the interview.

According to his website, Mazi was raised a devout Muslim, and is a father.

In one passage in his website’s biography, Mazi indicated he’s been shot on multiple occasions in his life.

The biography states: “He was shot five times—one bullet hitting him in the head and leaving him temporarily brain damaged, almost ending his life. ?When the bullet hit me in the head,’ Mazi recollects, ?it greatly affected me. I had to learn how to read, write, and speak all over again. I’m still not 100% right. I tried doing my daughter’s elementary school homework and it was hard. I couldn’t count money. My brother had to send text messages for me from my phone. It was deep.’”

The authorities charged a man on Wednesday with setting fire last month to a predominantly African-American church in Greenville, Miss., where “Vote Trump” was found spray-painted on the side of the building.

The man, Andrew McClinton, 45, of Leland, Miss., was charged with arson of a place of worship in the first degree, a felony, Warren Strain, a spokesman for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, said in an interview on Wednesday.

Mr. McClinton, who is black, was a member of the church, Hopewell Missionary Baptist, at the time of the fire on Nov. 1, Mr. Strain said.

The church sanctuary was heavily damaged by heat, fire and smoke. The 200-member church has been a fixture for more than 110 years in Greenville, a Mississippi Delta city of about 32,000 that is around 120 miles north of Jackson, Miss.

Mr. McClinton appeared voluntarily at the Greenville Police Department, where he made statements that implicated him in the crime on Wednesday, Mr. Strain said. He did not have a lawyer as of Wednesday night and was to make his first court appearance on Thursday.

The Asian action stars will topline the new film from 'John Wick' director Chad Stahelski.
Three of Asia's hottest action stars: Tony Jaa (Ong Bak), Tiger Chen (Man of Taichi) and Iko Uwais (The Raid) are teaming up for Triple Threat, a new feature from John Wick director Chad Stahelski.

Arclight Films have boarded world sales on the project and is introducing it to buyers for the first time at AFM.

Dwayne Smith wrote the screenplay for the film, which revolves around a Chinese martial artist who goes to Mexico to rescue his ex-wife and their son after they are kidnapped by a drug cartel.

Triple Threat is being produced by Kungfuman Culture Media and Hamilton Entertainment. Ying Ye, managing director of Arclight's Asian cinema division Easternlight, is producing alongside Chen Sylen Hwa, Sheldon Pang, He Shi and Gary Hamilton.

MIAMI (WSVN) - A man with a deformed skull has been charged with arson and attempted murder after he set his mattress on fire.

On Monday, at 2:37 p.m., 31-year-old Carlos Rodriguez set his mattress on fire at his home, located at 266 N.W. 61 Ave., according to City of Miami Police.

According to the arrest report, police arrived to find Rodriguez in his backyard. During the fire, there were two victims inside of a duplex, which is connected to the house. One of the victims’ mother, Anicia Rodriguez, owns the building.

Upon further investigation, the fire was deliberately set by Carlos Rodriguez, said police, which posed a threat to the occupants.

Rodriguez appeared in bond court, Tuesday, where a judge gave him $20,000 bond.

Rodriguez explained to the Daily Mail that he lost a large portion of his brain and skull in a car crash. He flew through his car’s windshield and landed head-first onto the road.

Hey Facebook, Internet, happy Sunday morning!

I'm usually not one for public shaming, false accusations, or general negativity online. My disdain for those sorts of things pales in comparison to the sort of anger I have toward the kind of sorry, sad, sadistic creeps who would put shit into girl's drinks at bars.

Last night, a friend called me around midnight asking to hang out. I had just got home. I was tired. I was down to go have a cigarette and chat for a few before bed. When I found her, she was with some dude (aforementioned POS) laying on the ground, laughing. I thought "hey, they're really drunk." A few minutes later I had invited them to my apartment for a few when I realized something was wrong.

To shorten the story, I kicked the dude out after learning they had just met and after he had made some creepy advances toward her right in front of me. She passed out on my couch, woke up in the wee hours and puked and heaved in my kitchen sink. This entire time I thought she had been wasted and I was thankful she got away from this dude and ended up on my sofa. The truth was more sinister.

We woke up early. She told me how many drinks she had last night. Three. She asked me what happened. She had no recollection of what happened past 12:20am or so. She had puked for a solid half hour. He bought her a beer at the bar then ushered them out after it was gone.

I'm posting this not to be a bastard, not to ruin someone's day, but to make sure this creep doesn't try to do this to anyone else.

The year is about to end...and a lot of things are going to be left in 2016. With that being said, there's something that's been....bothering me...since about June.

I'm sure we all remember the Baddest Honeys of IG Tournament....and this match-up here....was the hype match of the tournament. However March Madness tournaments never go as expected, and thanks to Bernice and Kaicrye, we never got to see it.

For those awaiting SZA’s album, there are four days left in 2016 for TDE to drop the project before year’s end.

But CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith doesn’t seem too worried about making the deadline, as he said on Twitter yesterday (December 27) that the label dropped six albums this year — fans just didn’t know it.

Besides Kendrick Lamar’s untitled unmastered., ScHoolboy Q’s Blank Face LP, Isaiah Rashad’s The Sun’s Tirade and Ab-Soul’s DWTW, TDE also dropped newest signee Lance Skiiiwalker’s debut album, Introverted Intuition. And Top Dawg claims that the other new signee, known as John Doe #2 on his official white board, quietly dropped a project as well.

Reddit speculates that the newest signee is either Inglewood’s SiR, Bronx MC Kemba or Chicago’s Kembe X. SiR appeared on The Sun’s Tirade as well as Jay Rock’s 90059 album last year and he released his own EP, Her, this year. Reddit points out that Kendrick tweeted the project and SiR’s label, “iiinglewood SiR” has three “i”s just like Hiii Power.

Kemba dropped his Negus album this year and Reddit says he’s gotten support from Compton’s good kid.

Kembe X is managed by Top Dawg’s son Moosa and did release his Talk Back album this summer. Kendrick gave him a co-sign too by retweeting a link to his “Oxygen” song. Rumors swirled earlier this year that the Windy City rapper signed to TDE when he posted a photo of himself wearing a TDE chain. Top Dawg said the young gun was just a “friend of the family,” but was that just to keep us on our toes?

And revealing TDE’s newest soldier is not all that will happen in 2017. Top Dawg has promised even more music, which could come in the form of an album from Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q’s promised 2017 release, and possibly the proper follow-up to KDot’s To Pimp a Butterfly. We’ve got our fingers crossed for that SZA LP too.

Carrie Fisher suffered a massive heart attack Friday on an airplane ... TMZ has learned.

Our sources say Carrie was on a flight from London to LAX when she went into cardiac arrest. People on board were administering CPR.

We're told the emergency occurred 15 minutes before the plane landed in L.A. A flight attendant asked if there were any medical personnel on board and an EMT who was sitting in the back of the plane came up to first class and administered life-saving measures.

The plane landed just after noon in L.A. and paramedics rushed her to a nearby hospital.

Fisher, who became famous, of course, as Princess Leia from 'Star Wars,' has been on a book tour.
