Has anyone tried this new version yet? Image-Line basically rebuilt the app from the ground up. I put it on my phone and tablet yesterday and finally found time to play around with it this morning. Aesthetically, it's really pleasing to look at compared to its previous mobile iterations, shitting on Caustic 3, IMO, though in the latter's defense, Caustic hasn't been updated for a few years now.

Using the app, on the other hand is taking sone getting used to. Personally, I haven't used FL Studio since 2012 (and that may have been a 0Day [bootleg] XXL version of 10), but I'm looking forward to seeing what all this does. The mobile version of FLM3 can also be integrated with the current (12) and future iterations of FL Studio, so there's there's that.

Here's an overview of the app in action:

Publisher Still Moving Forward With Milo Yiannopoulos Book Despite Backlash

NEW YORK (AP) — In the face of heavy criticism, Simon & Schuster is moving forward with plans to publish a book by the conservative provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos.

Yiannopoulos writes for Breitbart News, considered by many a platform for the so-called "alt-right" movement, an offshoot of conservatism that mixes racism, white nationalism and populism. Yiannopoulos' Twitter account was suspended earlier this year after a series of racially insensitive tweets aimed at "Ghostbusters" actress Leslie Jones, who is black. Yiannopoulos has denied he is a white nationalist.

While many in and outside of the publishing industry criticized Simon & Schuster, the book, which is available for preorder, was at the top of Amazon.com's best seller list Friday.

Simon & Schuster said Friday that it does not condone discrimination or hate speech and said the book, which is titled "Dangerous," is about free speech. It will be published in March by an imprint of Simon & Schuster geared to conservatives. It has also published books by Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and President-elect Donald Trump.

"We have always published books by a wide range of authors with greatly varying, and frequently controversial opinions," Simon & Schuster said. It asked readers to "withhold judgment until they have had a chance to read the actual contents of the book."

The Hollywood Reporter reported Thursday that Yiannopoulos was paid $250,000 for the book. Simon & Schuster, which is owned by New York media company CBS Corp., said it does not discuss book advances.

When asked for comment, Yiannopoulos referred to his Facebook post about the book.

"They said banning me from Twitter would finish me off," he wrote. "Just as I predicted, the opposite has happened."

The Chicago Review of Books tweeted that it won't review any Simon & Schuster books next year because of the publisher's "disgusting validation of hate." In an emailed statement, it said that 15 of the more than 300 books it wrote about last year were Simon & Schuster imprint books. In their place, The Chicago Review of Books said it will choose 15 books from independent and small publishers to cover.

Danielle Henderson, a writer whose memoir is expected to be published by Simon & Schuster in 2018, tweeted , "I'm looking at my @simonschuster contract, and unfortunately there's no clause for 'what if we decide to publish a white nationalist.'"

A representative for Henderson did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday.

I also wanna hear from the people who never wack off (if we have any on here) then what do you think the benefits are to living a wank free life?

German police defend racially profiling 650 'African Men' during New Year's security operation...

Cologne Police Chief Rejects 'Racial Profiling' Claim

BERLIN — Cologne's chief of police dismissed claims of racial profiling Sunday after officers detained hundreds of North African men in an effort to prevent a repeat of sexual assaults during New Year's festivities in the German city a year ago.

The men had gathered late Saturday at Cologne's main train station and in the Deutz district, across the Rhine river. In an overnight tweet, police had described them as being "seemingly of African descent," prompting online criticism that people were being detained based on their appearance alone.

"I reject this negative criticism," Police Chief Juergen Mathies told reporters. "The clear aim was to prevent similar events to previous year."

Hundreds of people were robbed and sexually assaulted during New Year's celebrations in Cologne last year. The crimes were blamed largely on men of North African origin who had taken advantage of chaotic and crowded scenes around the city's cathedral.

Mathies said he had instructed officers to intervene sooner this year. Of the 650 people detained for identity checks, almost all were from North African countries, he said.

"Their characteristics were such that potential crimes could indeed be expected," he added, without elaborating,

About 100 people in all were arrested overnight, while authorities logged about 160 crimes that included almost a dozen assaults or insults of a sexual nature, police said.

Cologne Mayor Henriette Reker said she was "happy and relieved" that the night had passed fairly uneventfully. About 50,000 people rang in the new year in front of Cologne Cathedral, officials said.

Anti-immigration groups seized upon last year's assaults to criticize the government, although police noted that very few suspects came from the same countries as the majority of migrants who arrived in Germany during the previous two years.

Cologne police defend New Year's Eve security tactics

In a bid to prevent a repeat of last year's sex attacks, state police focused on men of North African descent on New Year's Eve. Police Chief Jürgen Mathies has faced criticism for praising the success of the practice.

In the face of a heated debate in Germany over the alleged use of racial profiling during New Year's Eve celebrations on Sunday, police in the German city of Cologne defended their tactics.

Speaking to the press, Police Chief Jürgen Mathies admitted that yes, officers had specifically targeted men who appeared to be of North African extraction to undergo police checks, but said that "for the vast majority, there was a clear threat of criminal activity present." He also stressed that the security checks had not only targeted people of North African appearance.

Authorities also came under fire for the use of the shorthand "Nafri" to refer to these men - openly and on social media.

"At the central station we have checked hundreds of Nafris," read an update on the official Twitter account for the Cologne branch of North Rhine-Westphalia state police.

Green party co-chair Simone Peter said the heightened security in the city clearly limited violence and attacks during this year's celebrations - but she questioned the legality of police tactics.

"It raises the question of proportionality and legality when around 1,000 people were checked and partially detained based on their appearance alone," Peter told the "Rheinischen Post."

All eyes on Cologne

Security services were under pressure to prevent a repeat of the sexual attacks that occurred last New Year's Eve, when a group of 1,000 men of mostly North African and Middle Eastern origin unexpectedly descended on the square separating the Cologne's famous gothic cathedral from its main train station and molested hundreds of women.

This time around, the city deployed some 3,000 police officers, 300 of them in the cathedral square alone. Fireworks, an important tradition in German New Year's celebrations, were banned in the area around the square, with the city opting to present a light installation instead. Mayor Henriette Reker said the increased police presence - which included concrete blocks to prevent an attack in the style of recent atrocities in Berlin and Nice, where trucks were driven into crowds - was "necessary."

Revelers in the square seemed cautiously pleased with the outcome, telling DW that they felt safe and wouldn't have let what happened last year dampen their celebrations.

Police: Groups of men just as aggressive as last year

Standing by the practice of blatant racial profiling, Mathies said "we had groups of people who were comparably aggressive," to the men who had carried out the attacks last year. According to the police chief, after checking the identification of 650 people, 190 were ordered to leave the area, 92 were taken into custody and 27 were placed under arrest.

Christopher Lauer, a former politician with the protest Pirate party and the Social Democrats (SPD), seemed to sum up much of the social media reaction to the police's actions and the use of the term "Nafri." Speaking to German news agency DPA, he called the move "sweeping prejudice against an entire group of people based on their appearance."

Satirist Jan Böhmermann, who became famous earlier last year for incurring the wrath of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over an insulting poem he read on air, asked on Twitter: "What exactly is the difference between Nafri and Negro?"

Police Chief Mathies did say that he thought it was a mistake to use the term on social media, but stood by calling North African men "Nafris" as part of police jargon.
He added the caveat that he naturally does not believe that all North Africans are criminals.

Video shows confrontation between Black Panthers group and police

Group says it's being harassed; MPD says it arrested man with outstanding bench warrant

MILWAUKEE —
Members of a Black Panthers group that has been seen openly carrying firearms in the streets of Milwaukee at least twice in recent weeks says its constitutional rights were violated after a confrontation with police.

The confrontation was captured on smartphone video outside a store at 27th Street and Fond du Lac Avenue.

Members of the group said they were openly carrying firearms legally and were harassed by police during a food distribution program.

In response, the Milwaukee Police Department issued a statement, saying, "Milwaukee police responded to a subject with a gun call. Officers monitored a group of armed demonstrators and encountered a subject who was unsafely handling a firearm."

Police said it turned out the man was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant, and they arrested him.

Police took one shotgun, and the group is crying foul.

"Weapons were taken illegally, one of which was returned," said Vaun Mayes, of the Revolutionary Black Panther Party.

"Our mission with the Revolutionary Black Panther Party is simple. It's to help feed, clothe, train, shelter and defend our people. And we have the right to do that without any interruption, without any harassment, without any terrorism," said Jamal Canon, of the Revolutionary Black Panther Party.

"Because we open carry, it does not mean we are looking for a fight. We are peaceful unless we need to be otherwise," Mayes said.

The group also said an officer struck a 10-year-old girl with his elbow.

Police said they reached out to the family of the injured girl, and the family hasn't responded.

Milwaukee police said the shotgun that was seized was inventoried for safekeeping.

The Revolutionary Black Panthers voiced their complaints Thursday outside Milwaukee Police District 3 station.

Revolutionary Black Panther Party Threaten $400 Million Lawsuit Against Milwaukee

The city of Milwaukee was threatened today with a lawsuit seeking damages running into nine figures.

The threat comes from the Revolutionary Black Panther Party.

The party said it is suing over what happened Wednesday afternoon at 27th and Fond du Lac.

They are asking for $400 million.

The group said they were handing out food to the community and Milwaukee Police showed up and arrested a man taking his gun.

Police said he was handing it unsafely and found to have an open arrest warrant.

The Black Panthers claim an MPD officer elbowed a 10-year-old girl in the face.

They told us they are planning on filing charges against that officer.

The Revolutionary Black Panther Party plans on suing not only the police department, but also Chief Ed Flynn, the officers involved on Wednesday and the city of Milwaukee.

The suit will allege that their civil and constitutional rights were violated.

We have reached out to Milwaukee Police and Chief Flynn for a response but have not heard back.

The Black Panthers said they are currently pursuing this litigation.

They have not said when they'll actually file the paperwork.

The tennis great has announced that she is engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, 33. Fittingly, she broke the news on Reddit in the form of a poem.

“I came home. A little late. Someone had a bag packed for me. And a carriage waited. Destination: Rome,” Williams, 35, wrote on her verified Reddit account.

“To escort me to my very own ‘charming.’ Back to where our stars first collided. And now it was full circle. At the same table we first met by chance.”

She continued: “But by choice. Down on knee. He said 4 words. And I said yes.” Ohanian shared the Reddit post on Facebook, simply writing, “She said yes.”

The engagement comes as a surprise to many – Williams and Ohanian have kept their love off of social media.
