RIP UGHH.com - THIS IS FAREWELL...
https://www.undergroundhiphop.com/blogs/ughhblog/this-is-farewell
"I have some very sad news to share with all of our visitors and wanted to wait until after Christmas so you could all have a happy holiday. On approximately January 1, 2017, UndergroundHipHop.com (UGHH) will be shutting down permanently. We have been fighting our hardest to stay in business for the past few years, but with declining revenues it is impossible to stay in business at this point. Any orders placed will be fulfilled and we will stop taking orders as of tomorrow morning (Wednesday, December 28). When I opened our first online store in 1999, we experienced 60% growth year after year, for over a decade. However, in 2012 revenues plateaued and have been declining ever since. Our overhead is too great (rent, payroll, internet fees, bank loans, credit cards, etc.) and it makes business sense to not continue in what can only be described as an adventure of a lifetime.
I started UGHH out of my Northeastern University dorm room in 1997 as nothing more than a hobby to share the underground hip hop music I loved so much with the world. I had no idea it would lead into a 20 year career doing what I love to do – bringing this culture to the masses. I grew up listening to this music as a kid (I remember being 7 years old or so in the mid 1980's, and a neighbor giving me a copy of LL Cool J's – 'Radio' and The Fat Boys album dubbed on a cassette) and I was hooked. As a teenager, my music idols were Gang Starr and my favorite MC was Jeru The Damaja. Never in my wildest dreams would I think I would become friends with the artists I grew up on, but I am happy to say I actually became friends with Jeru so… my life is complete
If you want to read more about the 20 year journey of UGHH, go here
Running your own business is incredibly hard (and rewarding) work and I am very proud with what my team and I were able to achieve with this website. We had a retail store for ten years (another dream of mine come true), became close friends with many of the artists we are fans of (I went to Apathy's wedding!), and helped so many labels and artists get the exposure they deserved. I could have worked a standard office job after college, but I followed my dreams and created a world renown, highly respected website loved by many.
There have been so many people who have contributed to helping make UGHH what it is today and there is no way I can list them all. I would like to give a special thank you to my staff who stuck it out with me to the very end – Jeremy (15+ years at UGHH), Aaron (10+ years at UGHH), Tommy (5+ years at UGHH), and Ian (he stopped working at UGHH 1.5 years ago after 10+ years on the job but has been my personal therapist since then). Thank you to the forum moderator Clokworx, who contributed his time to keep our forums running as smoothly as possible as well as all other mods. An extra special shout out to my wife and children, who were patient enough to put up with the ups and downs of the business and some very long work days.
There are many great websites to get your hip hop from, but some recommendations include: GetOnDown.com (for product and they should be expanding their catalog greatly in 2017), 2DopeBoyz.com (for videos) and HipHopDX.com (for news). There are so many great labels putting out quality product, but some suggestions are: Snowgoons, Ill Adrenaline, Mello Music Group, Red Apples 45, Slice-Of-Spice, REDEF, Rhymesayers, Fat Beats, HiPNOTT, and too many more to list.
I wish the best of luck to all of the artists, producers, record labels, distributors, etc. who make a living from hip hop music. You are doing this for something much deeper than a paycheck, and I respect you all for that. Thank you to all of our customers who have made purchases from us over the years. We have customers who have been dedicated to shopping with us for well over a decade, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for thinking of UGHH when you were thinking about hip hop. Until the next adventure..."

Italian Priest Accused Of Staging Orgies And Pimping Out His 15 Lovers
A Catholic priest in Italy has been accused of staging orgies in his rectory, pimping out at least some of his 15 lovers, as well as hiding pornographic home videos in covers with the names of popes on them.
Father Andrea Contin, a 48-year-old parish priest at the church of San Lazzaro in Padua, is now under investigation after police received complaints from three of his parishioners.
Sex toys and videos of the orgies have already been seized, and he is suspected of pimping out his lovers to other men, who paid to participate in the orgies, Italian media reported.
He is also accused of going on vacations with female lovers, including a trip to a French resort for nudists and swingers in the town of Cap d’Agde.
Female parishioners complained to the local bishop last summer, but church authorities did not contact the police at the time, saying they were conducting their own investigation.
Il Mattino di Padova newspaper reported that one of the priest’s lovers said, “he was sending me a flood of messages, sms. He phoned me. He said or wrote, ‘I’m happy when I’m with you.’”
The first kiss followed. “I was with him at the rectory, we were in the study. He often called saying he had always needed me, that he could not help it. After a little, he came up and kissed me. It all started there.”
The 49-year-old church volunteer added that the two were having sex in the rectory “at all hours: morning, afternoon, night.”
“There were a lot of women hovering around him. I didn’t understand that at first, only later,” she told the newspaper.
While Contin hasn’t been arrested, he has been suspended from his clerical duties pending the investigation.
Il Mattino di Padova reported that Father Contin has gone to Croatia, and cited Cap d’Agde’s mayor, Paolo Tonin, as saying, “They are also trying to protect him from the clamor of this story that has now gone national.”

Black Activists stopped and harassed by Milwaukee police for legally open carrying during a event...

Video shows confrontation between Black Panthers group and police
Group says it's being harassed; MPD says it arrested man with outstanding bench warrant
MILWAUKEE —
Members of a Black Panthers group that has been seen openly carrying firearms in the streets of Milwaukee at least twice in recent weeks says its constitutional rights were violated after a confrontation with police.
The confrontation was captured on smartphone video outside a store at 27th Street and Fond du Lac Avenue.
Members of the group said they were openly carrying firearms legally and were harassed by police during a food distribution program.
In response, the Milwaukee Police Department issued a statement, saying, "Milwaukee police responded to a subject with a gun call. Officers monitored a group of armed demonstrators and encountered a subject who was unsafely handling a firearm."
Police said it turned out the man was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant, and they arrested him.
Police took one shotgun, and the group is crying foul.
"Weapons were taken illegally, one of which was returned," said Vaun Mayes, of the Revolutionary Black Panther Party.
"Our mission with the Revolutionary Black Panther Party is simple. It's to help feed, clothe, train, shelter and defend our people. And we have the right to do that without any interruption, without any harassment, without any terrorism," said Jamal Canon, of the Revolutionary Black Panther Party.
"Because we open carry, it does not mean we are looking for a fight. We are peaceful unless we need to be otherwise," Mayes said.
The group also said an officer struck a 10-year-old girl with his elbow.
Police said they reached out to the family of the injured girl, and the family hasn't responded.
Milwaukee police said the shotgun that was seized was inventoried for safekeeping.
The Revolutionary Black Panthers voiced their complaints Thursday outside Milwaukee Police District 3 station.

Revolutionary Black Panther Party Threaten $400 Million Lawsuit Against Milwaukee
The city of Milwaukee was threatened today with a lawsuit seeking damages running into nine figures.
The threat comes from the Revolutionary Black Panther Party.
The party said it is suing over what happened Wednesday afternoon at 27th and Fond du Lac.
They are asking for $400 million.
The group said they were handing out food to the community and Milwaukee Police showed up and arrested a man taking his gun.
Police said he was handing it unsafely and found to have an open arrest warrant.
The Black Panthers claim an MPD officer elbowed a 10-year-old girl in the face.
They told us they are planning on filing charges against that officer.
The Revolutionary Black Panther Party plans on suing not only the police department, but also Chief Ed Flynn, the officers involved on Wednesday and the city of Milwaukee.
The suit will allege that their civil and constitutional rights were violated.
We have reached out to Milwaukee Police and Chief Flynn for a response but have not heard back.
The Black Panthers said they are currently pursuing this litigation.
They have not said when they'll actually file the paperwork.
