Bill Burr’s new stand-up special arrives on Netflix January 31
These are good times for anyone who enjoys the caustic, often scathing, yet fundamentally humane comedy of Massachusetts-born funnyman Bill Burr. In addition to his popular, freewheeling Monday Morning Podcast and his Netflix animated series F Is For Family—which returns for a second season later this year—Burr is releasing a new hour-long comedy special called Walk Your Way Out on Netflix on January 31. The streaming service has previously played host to such Burr specials as I’m Sorry You Feel That Way, You People Are All The Same, and Let It Go. This new special was recorded live in front of a packed house at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, a venue best known as the home of the Grand Ole Opry series of country music concerts. If that seems like an unlikely venue for a cranky Northerner like Burr, that’s probably the point. Comedy thrives on contrast.
Burr’s comedy tends to be wide-ranging, and he’s proven he can riff on politics and current events as well as what’s going on in his own personal life and family. So he’ll have plenty of material to draw from for Walk Your Way Out. Netflix promises the special will cover topics ranging “from sinking cruise ships to celebrity fat shaming and the myth of healthy fast-food.” Sounds like fun. For those still not acclimated to Burr’s style of humor, this recent Conan clip provides some clues as to his political leanings.

David Goyer the man behind the latest superhero flick “Man of Steel” has hinted towards the possibility of his latest hero Superman teaming up with Batman and the crew for a Justice League film.
Poyer resumes includes co-writing and assistance on Chirtopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy but states that the caped crusader fans have grown to love would not be appearing in the film.

Vogue's 'DIVERSE' Cover Gets Slammed
The iconic magazine's March cover celebrates "the modern American woman" by featuring models of different ethnicities, skin tones and body types.
But readers aren't convinced. Across social media, they're criticizing Vogue for staying inside the fashion industry's narrow parameters.
With Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Ashley Graham, Vittoria Ceretti, Imaan Hammam, Adwoa Aboah and Liu Wen on the cover, the magazine certainly has star power.
However, Graham is the only plus-size model, and all of the models have relatively light skin tones. In addition, Vogue has been accused of altering Hadid's hand in the photo to cover up Graham's stomach.
Graham responded on Instagram: "I chose to pose like that. No one told me to do anything."
In the cover story, Maya Singer writes, "In a climate of immigration bans and building walls, the biggest names in 2017 make the case that there isn't just one type of American girl — nor has there ever been."
Some of the models that graced the cover speak out in the story about the challenges they have faced and the platform Vogue has given them.
Liu Wen, the first Asian woman to grace American Vogue's cover, says, "Many Asian models now have incredible recognition and success at home first, and then they start booking jobs internationally. I think this stems, in part, from the rise of social media, which is connecting societies... and changing all of our perspectives.
In the story, Graham reminds readers, "Sixty-seven percent of the women in America wear a size 14 or larger... Maybe you could ignore those consumers before, but now, thanks to social media, they're making their voices heard... What they want is to be visible."
Readers have taken to Twitter and Instagram to express their disappointment and anger over the attempted diversity.
One commenter wrote, "You had such a great chance here and I've never been more disappointed. I hope that in the future you'll finally start taking a chance on women that represent real bodies and real standards."

Texas whopper: $4 billion bond set for man in murder case

Bell County Justice of the Peace Claudia Brown set Antonio Marquis Willis' bond last week at a whopping $4 billion in the Dec. 22 killing of another man at a home in Killeen, about 55 miles north of Austin.
County sheriff's Deputy Chief Chuck Cox said he's never heard of such a high bond, the Temple Daily Telegram reported. The highest amount he had previously seen was $1 million.
Willis' lawyer, Billy Ray Hall Jr., said he's confident the amount will be lowered when Hall makes the request to a state district judge. Hall said he wasn't certain it would be lowered to the point where Willis could afford to post the amount and leave jail until his next court hearing.
Another lawyer, Michael White, said bond is designed to protect the public and ensure a defendant appears in court. It's not meant to be a punitive measure, he said.
"This justice of the peace is abusing the bail process in an attempt to make a name for herself, as opposed to setting a reasonable and affordable bond as required by law," White said. "It makes a mockery of the process and a fool of her."
Lawyer Jeff Parker said the $4 billion bond could be challenged as unconstitutional. The Constitution's Eighth Amendment protects against cruel and unusual punishment and specifically refers to protections against excessive bail or fines.
The Associated Press left a message at Brown's office Thursday asking why she set such an expensive bond. She was elected to her position in November.
Willis, 25, is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of Donte Samuels.
Willis' bond far exceeds the $3 billion amount set for New York real estate heir Robert Durst before an appeals court in 2004 determined it was unconstitutionally excessive and it was lowered to $450,000. At the time, Durst had recently been acquitted of killing his neighbor while living in Texas. He was being held on related charges.

"Better Call Saul" made a promising debut, and as it returns for Season 2 next year, the show will be focusing on the relationship between Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) and Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks).
According to International Business Times, show creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould revealed that they are planning some huge surprises for the viewers. They also hinted that viewers might finally see Jimmy turn from being a lawyer to Saul Goodman, the criminal.
However, Gould expressed his thoughts about Jim transforming into Saul. He said that like the viewers, they have also loved Jim and he said that it could be sad that they need to turn him into being Saul Goodman. Gould added that there will be a lot of tension in the show as the viewers discover how a decent lawyer becomes a drug lawyer.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Banks gave little hints about his character in Season 2. He said that viewers are going to learn more about Mike in the new season.
It was earlier reported that both actors are currently nominated for an Emmy. Bob Odenkirk is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor while Banks was nominated for Outstanding Support Actor. The show also garnered some Emmy nominations as show writer Gordon Smith was nominated for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series for the episode "Five-O."
According to Vine Report, "Better Call Saul" serves as a prequel to the "Breaking Bad" story. With that, it was reported that fans would want to see some "Breaking Bad" characters like Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul). However, it was confirmed that the actors will not be appearing in the said show, at least not yet. It was earlier reported that other "Breaking Bad" characters will appear, but the producers have not confirmed who those characters will be.
