The Official Marvel Phase 2 thread - Now Playing Avengers: Age of Ultron

Marvel Phase 2 kicks off at the end of this month with Iron Man 3 and will eventually get to a sequel to Captain America: The First Avenger and the start of a new franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy. Casting is underway for the two films,but other than that the details on these films are almost non-existent, until today. Geek Zenith has uncovered four pieces of concept art which show off the Star Wars influence for "Guardians" and Captain America taking on the namesake for his movie, The Winter Soldier. Check them out below.

The only cast member officially announced for Guardians of the Galaxy are "Parks and Recreation" actor Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, and Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer. Guardians of the Galaxy's roster is also said to include Groot, Rocket Racoon and Gamora. It's currently in pre-production in the UK, with director James Gunn at the helm, and is targeting an August 1, 2014 release.

Captain America: The Winder Soldier is set to star Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Scarlett Johansson, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell, Maximiliano Hernández, Robert Redford and Georges St-Pierre. The story picks up where Marvel's The Avengers left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters April 4, 2014.

Question about iTunes

I forgot how went about doing this back in the day. I completely forgot.

Anyways, what im trying to do is have my whole iTunes library on my comp but not the actual mp3 files. This way when I add a new album to my library, I can sync it with all my music still on my ipod but that new album is added. Then delete or store the downloaded files I just added elsewhere.

I aint trippin about listening to my songs on my computer. I remember the songs being translucent and prompt "file cannot be located" if i tried to play it on my comp. I'm just trying to get it on my ipod without using all my HDD space to keep the original files on there.

Any help is much appreciated IC fam!

I've noticed that since I've gone from 210 to 270 over the past 2 years......that women aren't as receptive to my advances at 270 as they were when I was 210.


Just wondering why that is.


Granted, I don't really have any game or decent social skills.


Pretty much been getting over on my good looks and physical appearance.


However, that doesn't seem to be working anymore since I've developed a pot belly and fatboy chest.


On the surface, it seems like the logical thing to do would be to go to the gym and lose weight.....but I don't really feel like working out anymore.


So, the next logical step was to make a thread on the IC about it.

In a surprise interview with ABC’s Nightline, comedian Bill Cosby finally broke his silence on the dozens of rape allegations lobbied against him.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, which definitely did not see this one coming, parts of the interview aired today “with little promotion” on Good Morning America, and the rest will be aired tonight. Cosby was on to promote his work raising awareness for underfunded schools with the Black Belt Foundation, and told Linsey Davis that the allegations against him shouldn’t make children question his wisdom.

“I think that many of them say, ‘Well you’re a hypocrite,” he argued. “My point is, ‘OK, listen to me carefully, I’m telling you where the road is out. I’m telling you where as you’re driving you’re going to go into water and it looks like it may only be three inches but you and your car are going to go here. Now, you want to go here or you want to be concerned about who’s giving you the message?'”

As for the allegations themselves, Cosby said he was confused. “I have been in this business over 52 years and I have never seen anything like this. And reality is the situation. And I can’t speak.”

David Goyer the man behind the latest superhero flick “Man of Steel” has hinted towards the possibility of his latest hero Superman teaming up with Batman and the crew for a Justice League film.

Poyer resumes includes co-writing and assistance on Chirtopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy but states that the caped crusader fans have grown to love would not be appearing in the film.

I just got this email about "summer employment" going down to the gulf (choice of several states) and helping with cleanup of the oil spill. Here is the job description...

Areas where work may be performed are Louisiana , Mississippi , Alabama and Florida . All workers will require OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operator Training (WE WILL PROVIDE). Successful completion of a physical and drug screen are also required. Each applicant must be 18 years of age or older. The hours will vary but expect LOTS of overtime.

RATE OF PAY: $13.00/hr. straight time

$19.50/hr. overtime (after 40 hours/week)

PER DIEM: $26.00/day for meals

LODGING: Provided


Work may include, but is not limited to manual labor associated with removing
crude oil from impacted beaches, rocks, boom, or any other items that have
come in contact with the oil. Technicians may be required to operate
pressure washers, mops, rakes, shovels or a variety of other hand tools or
small pieces of equipment while wearing proper protective gear. Work
environment may include working on or near water, in marshland, beach and
estuary locations in hot and humid conditions day or night.

Will anyone be watching this new Showtime series?

It is based on the lives of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, who were basically the first sex researchers. I find the series to be extremely interesting, considering I have taken a course on human sexuality where the work of Masters and Johnson was emphasized in a few chapters - and hey, I love psychological research.
