West Perrine, Florida is a suburban ghetto in Southwest Miami-Dade County. Over 73% of its residents are African-American and more than a third of them are unemployed. Violent crimes occur on a daily basis in this neighborhood of less than two square miles, where much of its adult male population winds up dead or in prison before their 30th birthday. But there is hope in the hood... Dhafir "Dada 5000" Harris (6'3", 270lbs., bench presses 670lbs) grew up blocks away from Perrine's MMA sensation, Kimbo Slice, and spent a year traveling the world as Kimbo's bodyguard. When Kimbo's manager buried video of Dada's spectacular backyard fight debut, for fear of Dada overshadowing his rising superstar, Dada leaves Kimbo's crew and makes a life-changing decision: Dada builds a ring in his momma's backyard and transforms himself into the Don King of illegal backyard fights in Perrine. No doctors, no ambulance. Just two men in a 12'x12' ring battling in a savage bare-knuckle fight to the finish. Dada's gladiators give everything in the the backyard to feed their families and to try to fight their way out of hood. Meanwhile Dada returns to the ring, is discovered by professional scouts and gets his shot at turning pro in the octagon at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Here’s what he said about Webber to Larry Brown Sports:

“One dude traveled then called timeout. One dude lied to grand jury and hasn’t apologized. One dude tried to circumvent the documentary to HBO. One dude ignored multiple requests from everyone involved after agreeing to participate. One dude played like (President) Obama and sat in a suite during Michigan’s recent title game. One dude slandered Ed Martin after all he did for him and his family. One dude is not in contact with the other four (which is all good). One dude has been doing a rebuttal doc for four years. One dude clearly is delusional and still in denial,” Rose said of Webber in messages to Larry Brown Sports.

“Congrats on your amazing success! Respect had no price. Man up.”

Damn. There is responding to negative comments, and there is going absolutely scorched earth on a former friend, and Rose definitely went for the latter. I don’t think there is going to be a 25-year reunion of their recruitment next year.

The many problems with Seymour Hersh's Osama bin Laden conspiracy theory

could have called this "Seymour Hersh is full of shit," but either way, we don't seem to have a great thread on this yet, so...
The many problems with Seymour Hersh's Osama bin Laden conspiracy theory
On Sunday, the legendary investigative journalist Seymour Hersh finally released a story that he has been rumored to have been working on for years: the truth about the killing of Osama bin Laden. According to Hersh's 10,000-word story in the London Review of Books, the official history of bin Laden's death — in which the US tracked him to a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan; killed him in a secret raid that infuriated Pakistan; and then buried him at sea — is a lie.

Hersh's story is amazing to read, alleging a vast American-Pakistani conspiracy to stage the raid and even to fake high-level diplomatic incidents as a sort of cover. But his allegations are largely supported only by two sources, neither of whom has direct knowledge of what happened, both of whom are retired, and one of whom is anonymous. The story is riven with internal contradictions and inconsistencies.

The story simply does not hold up to scrutiny — and, sadly, is in line with Hersh's recent turn away from the investigative reporting that made him famous into unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.

A decade ago, Hersh was one of the most respected investigative journalists on the planet, having broken major stories from the My Lai massacre in 1969 to the Abu Ghraib scandal in 2004. But more recently, his reports have become less and less credible. He's claimed that much of the US special forces is controlled by secret members of Opus Dei, that the US military flew Iranian terrorists to Nevada for training, and that the 2013 chemical weapons attack in Syria was a "false flag" staged by the government of Turkey. Those reports have had little proof and, rather than being borne out by subsequent investigations, have been either unsubstantiated or outright debunked. A close reading of Hersh's bin Laden story suggests it is likely to suffer the same fate.

What Seymour Hersh says really happened to Osama bin Laden

The truth, Hersh says, is that Pakistani intelligence services captured bin Laden in 2006 and kept him locked up with support from Saudi Arabia, using him as leverage against al-Qaeda. In 2010, Pakistan agreed to sell bin Laden to the US for increased military aid and a "freer hand in Afghanistan." Rather than kill him or hand him over discreetly, Hersh says the Pakistanis insisted on staging an elaborate American "raid" with Pakistani support.

According to Hersh's story, Navy SEALs met no resistance at Abbottabad and were escorted by a Pakistani intelligence officer to bin Laden's bedroom, where they killed him. Bin Laden's body was "torn apart with rifle fire" and pieces of the corpse "tossed out over the Hindu Kush mountains" by Navy SEALs during the flight home (no reason is given for this action). There was no burial at sea because "there wouldn’t have been much left of bin Laden to put into the sea in any case."

In this telling, the yearslong breakdown in US-Pakistan relations, which had enormous ramifications for both Pakistan and the war in Afghanistan, was all staged to divert attention from the truth of bin Laden's killing. The treasure trove of intelligence secured from bin Laden's compound, Hersh adds, was manufactured to provide evidence after the fact.

What is the proof?

The evidence for all this is Hersh's conversations with two people: Asad Durrani, who ran Pakistan's military intelligence service from 1990 to 1992, and "a retired senior intelligence official who was knowledgeable about the initial intelligence about bin Laden’s presence in Abbottabad." Read that line again: knowledgeable about the initial intelligence. Not exactly a key player in this drama, and anonymous at that.

Hersh produces no supporting documents or proof, nor is the authority of either source established. We are given no reason to believe that either Durrani or the "knowledgeable official" would have even second- or thirdhand knowledge of what occurred, yet their word is treated as gospel. His other two sources are anonymous "consultants" who are vaguely described as insiders.

Beyond that, Hersh's proof is that he finds the official story of the Osama bin Laden raid to be unconvincing. And he points out that in the first days after the raid, the administration released details that cast bin Laden in a negative light — saying he tried to use one of his wives as a shield, for example — that it later walked back. But raising questions about the official story is not the same as proving a spectacular international conspiracy.

If that seems like worryingly little evidence for a story that accuses hundreds of people across three governments of staging a massive international hoax that has gone on for years, then you are not alone.

On Sunday night, national security journalists and analysts on Twitter picked through the story, expressing dismay at its tissue-thin sourcing, its leaps of logic, and its internal contradictions.

South Africans killing other African Immigrants!

$

(CNN)— Shops looted and set ablaze. Terrified foreigners hiding in police stations and stadiums.Machete-wielding attackers hacking immigrants to death in major cities in South Africa.

As attacks against foreigners and their
businesses rage on, killing at least six people
this week, other nations in the continent are
scrambling to evacuate their citizens from South
Africa. But this is not the first time xenophobic
violence has exploded in a country that tries to
portray itself as a diverse "rainbow" nation.

What triggered this week's attacks?

They started after Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini
said at a recent gathering that foreigners "should
pack their bags and go" because they are taking
jobs from citizens, local media reported.

Shortly after his comments, violence against
immigrants erupted in the port city of Durban.
His office has denied he made the comments ,
saying journalists misquoted him. While kings
are mostly ceremonial figures in the nation, they
are influential in their communities.

But the United Nations said the attacks started
in March after a labor dispute between citizens
and foreign workers.

Why are immigrants targeted?

Some citizens have accused African immigrants
of taking their already scarce jobs, undermining
businesses owned by locals and contributing to
a high crime rate. The nation's unemployment
rate is about 25%, according to government
figures.

But resentment over porous borders, growing
crime rates, poverty and corruption are also a
major concern, analysts say.

President Jacob Zuma has said his government
is addressing the social and economic concerns.
But he said immigrants contribute to the
nation's economy and bring skills that are in
demand, and should not be stereotyped as
criminals.

"While some foreign nationals have been arrested
for various crimes, it is misleading and wrong to
label or regard all foreign nationals as being
involved in crime in the country," Zuma said.

How many immigrants are in South Africa?

The nation has about 2 million documented and
undocumented immigrants , which is about 4% of
the total population, according to a study by the
University of the Witwatersrand.

Zimbabweans make up the largest group of
immigrants.

Also, South Africa is a top travel destination for
wealthy Africans because of its proximity and
developed infrastructure.

Has South Africa had xenophobic attacks
before?

Yes. This is the latest in a series of attacks that
date back years.

In January, looters burned businesses owned by
foreigners in another wave of xenophobic
attacks. In addition, there were other incidents of
violence last year, Human Rights Watch said.

Seven years ago, Johannesburg was the
epicenter of more anti-immigrant tensions that
left dozens dead in attacks that later spread to
Cape Town. Most of the victims were
Zimbabweans who had fled repression and dire
economic circumstances. In those attacks, police
arrested more than 200 people on various
charges, including rape, murder, robbery and
theft.

In 2006, xenophobic violence broke out again for
several months in Cape Town.

What are other African nations doing about it?

Victims of xenophobic attacks have been from
various African nations, including Nigeria,
Somalia and Ethiopia.

African nations have condemned the attacks.
Kenya, Malawi and Zimbabwe are just a few of
the countries evacuating their citizens from
South Africa.

In Zambia, local radio station QFM said it will
not play South African music in solidarity with
the victims.

And in Mozambique, South African energy and
chemical giant Sasol sent about 340 South
African nationals home. The company said
Mozambican employees voiced concern about
reported violence against their nationals and
protested the presence of South African
employees in Mozambique.

Is inequality a contributing factor?

Most of the attacks have erupted in poor and
marginalized areas.

Despite the progress the nation has made since
its apartheid days, inequality still remains a
major concern , according to the Nelson Mandela
Foundation.

"It is up to the present and next generations to
take up the cudgels where you (Mandela) have
left off. It is up to them, through service to
deepen our democracy; entrench and defend our
constitution; eradicate poverty; eliminate
inequality; fight corruption, and serve always
with compassion, respect, integrity and
tolerance," the foundation said in a statement.
"Xenophobia, racism and sexism must be fought
with tenacity, wisdom and enlightenment."

As fears of more attacks grow, South Africans
have taken to social media and the streets to
protest xenophobia and violence.

The Official Jay-Z's "Tidal" Streaming Service Thread (Jayz B-Side Concert Stream Inside)

300x300.jpg

Earlier this year, Brooklyn’s own Jay Z would be trying his hand at the music streaming industry with an 8-figure bid to buy European streaming service Aspiro. Well, it appears that not all business venture’s come with a ribbon-wrapped bow. Today, it’s been reported by Swedish publication Dagens Industri that Hov’s $56,000,000 bid was rejected by the company’s minority stockholders after being unanimously excepted by the board. And while he’s not exactly out of the race to purchase the highly-coveted streaming service (with the terms of his offer ending next week on March 11th) the shareholders will continue to work out more favorable terms for themselves. And while Jay’s Brooklyn Nets venture didn’t exactly pay out the way he had hoped, based solely on the size of this bid, we’re thinking the shareholders might just have a change of heart in the 11th hour. On the other hand, it might just be a safer bet to take that hefty offer and buy into say, Spotify or Beats, both of which have a commanding hold on the streaming industry, but you know how the story goes; whatever Jay Z wants, he most certainly gets.

*UPDATED*

Jay Z may have been stifled by the minority shareholders of Aspiro when he put in his massive $56,ooo,ooo bid last week, but it appears now board could hold Hov down. Today it was announced that Jay’s 8-figure bid — submitted through his own Project Panther Bidco company — was accepted by the shareholders (called it) who command only 10 percent of the company. While Aspiro has been getting most of the shine in matter, it’s really the company’s lossless streaming platform Tidal that everyone’s been after, as it offers a quality 4x greater than what comparable platforms provide (Spotify, Beats, Apple’s forthcoming streaming endeavor) allowing consumers to stream hi-fidelity audio wherever they’re at, whenever they want it. Hov is expected to make the official announcement of the acquisition any day now, so be on the look out for that.

FBI’s warning of white supremacists infiltrating law enforcement nearly forgotten

$

Bcause of intensifying civil strife over the recent killings of unarmed black men and boys, many Americans are wondering, “What’s wrong with our police?” Remarkably, one of the most compelling but unexplored explanations may rest with a FBI warning of October 2006, which reported that “White supremacist infiltration of law enforcement” represented a significant national threat.

Several key events preceded the report. A federal court found that members of a Los Angeles sheriffs department formed a Neo Nazi gang and habitually terrorized the black community. Later, the Chicago police department fired Jon Burge, a detective with reputed ties to the Ku Klux Klan, after discovering he tortured over 100 black male suspects. Thereafter, the Mayor of Cleveland discovered that many of the city police locker rooms were infested with “White Power” graffiti. Years later, a Texas sheriff department discovered that two of its deputies were recruiters for the Klan.

In near prophetic fashion, after the FBI’s warning, white supremacy extremism in the U.S. increased, exponentially. From 2008 to 2014, the number of white supremacist groups, reportedly, grew from 149 to nearly a thousand, with no apparent abatement in their infiltration of law enforcement.

This year, alone, at least seven San Francisco law enforcement officers were suspended after an investigation revealed they exchanged numerous “White Power” communications laden with remarks about “lynching African-Americans and burning crosses.” Three reputed Klan members that served as correction officers were arrested for conspiring to murder a black inmate. At least four Fort Lauderdale police officers were fired after an investigation found that the officers fantasized about killing black suspects.

The United States doesn’t publicly track white supremacists, so the full range of their objectives remains murky. Although black and Jewish-Americans are believed to be the foremost targets of white supremacists, recent attacks in Nevada, Wisconsin, Arizona, Kansas and North Carolina, demonstrate that other non-whites, and religious and social minorities, are also vulnerable. Perhaps more alarmingly, in the last several years alone, white supremacists have reportedly murdered law enforcement officers in Arkansas, Nevada and Wisconsin.

In fact, the FBI reports that of the 511 law enforcement officers killed during felony incidents from 2004 to 2013, white citizens killed the majority of them. Of the citizens stopped by law enforcement officers in New York City and Chicago, white citizens were more likely to be found with guns and drugs. Given the white supremacist penchant for violence, guns and drug trafficking, the findings may be an indication that their network is just as destructive and far-reaching as that of foreign terrorist groups.

The unfortunate consequence of today’s threat is that a law enforcement officer may be good or bad, a villain or hero; one exceptionally prone to exhibit malicious forms of racial hatred, or distinctively suited to protect the racially oppressed. But the paradox doesn’t end there.

The white supremacist threat brings to light a dark feature of the American experience that some believed extinct. It rouses ingrained notions of distrusts between police and communities of color while bringing to bear the vital interest citizens of good will share in the complete abolishment of race as a judgmental factor.

As the nation struggles to resolve the perplexities of police brutality, the white supremacist threat should inform all Americans that today’s civil discord is not borne out of a robust animosity towards law enforcement, most of whom are professional. Rather, it’s more representative of a centuries-old ideological clash, which has ignited in citizens of good will a desire to affirm notions of racial equality so that the moral ethos of American culture is a reality for all.

http://thegrio.com/2015/05/12/fbi-white-supremacists-law-enforcement/

White supremacist groups encourage their memebers to join the military and law enforcment. This is a war and its no fucking game. They got us outgunned and outnumbered we need to wake up and strap up cuz if shit pops off it will be very ugly for us.
