Famous Dex: JAY-Z's '4:44' Is Real Music, We're Just Entertainment.......Thoughts?

Chicago rapper Famous Dex gave his take on the generational divide in hip-hop during an interview with Montreality. Dex spoke about the lineage that he comes from and stated that without rappers like Nas there would be no Famous Dex. He praised some hip-hop's OGs such as Snoop, Wu-Tang, and others. Dex also spoke about JAY-Z's music in comparison to his own saying that while he provides listeners energy and a certain bounce, Hov provides "grown-man" content. "If you wanna hear real music, go listen to 4:44, go listen to DAMN, go listen to Nas, if you wanna be entertained and be hyped, go listen to me or Lil Pump..."

Dex also talked about hearing Kendrick Lamar likes his music through Rich the Kid, and how if you don't respect the OGs of the hip-hop game then "f*ck you!"

Do you agree with Famous Dex?

A loved-up teenage couple who found internet fame after sharing a video of her family gifting him a car for Christmas have been hit with vile, racist abuse.

Madison Duke and Chris Hunter found internet fame on Twitter this week after she posted a video of him being given the car by her parents in Dallas, Texas.

It has been viewed more than 1.4million times since it was uploaded on Saturday.

But among comments of praise for the high schoolers are abhorrent messages of hate.

The shocked teenagers shared details of those comments with their new followers on Tuesday.

The pair vowed not to let it sink the good mood they have put in since the video took off...

LaVar Ball On If President Donald Trump Helped Get LiAngelo Ball Out Of China: ‘Who?’

LaVar Ball, the father of Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball, has never been one to avoid courting controversy.

The famously outspoken father has already criticized Luke Walton’s usage of his son and gotten into wars of words with other NBA players, but on Friday night he went after a decidedly larger target: President Donald Trump, via Arash Markazi of ESPN:
LaVar Ball downplayed his son’s shoplifting incident in China as well as U.S. president Donald Trump’s involvement in getting his son and two UCLA teammates back to the United States earlier this week.

“Who?” Ball told ESPN when asked about Trump’s involvement in the matter. “What was he over there for? Don’t tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out.”

UCLA guard LiAngelo Ball, Lonzo’s younger brother, was detained along with two UCLA teammates in China for allegedly shoplifting, a situation which Trump reportedly helped rectify, thus enabling the Bruins players to return home.

After the incident, Trump wondered on Twitter when he’d be thanked for his assistance:

LiAngelo and his fellow Bruins did thank Trump for his assistance at the press conference announcing that they had returned home and would be indefinitely suspended by UCLA, but it’s perhaps unsurprising that LaVar wants to distance his family from the current administration due to the current political climate.

Alternatively, it might not be a coincidence that LaVar dropped these comments right as the internet was tearing his son apart for not immediately rushing into a scrum to fight alongside his teammates while he’s simultaneously playing the worst stretch of basketball of his life.

LaVar is not an idiot, and he seems to understand more keenly than most what moves the news cycle along, and there is very little he could’ve done to make people forget about Lonzo’s struggles more quickly than start a feud with the most Twitter-argument happy president in U.S. history.

LaVar also just knows the simple value for he and his family’s eponymous Big Baller Brand of being in the news cycle, and this is certainly one way to get a lot more than the traditional outlets talking about him. All press is good press, as they say (unless it’s press about your sons shoplifting and/or playing badly).

Whatever the reason LaVar chose to go at Trump now, only one thing is certain: Everyone needs to grab their popcorn for the president’s response.

'Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark' Adaptation Lands Director

The trilogy of horror books that kicked off with Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is getting the big screen treatment from director André Øvredal. The filmmaker previously director TrollHunter and The Autopsy of Jane Doe, with Guillermo del Toro attached to this adaptation as a producer.

According to Deadline, "The thriller follows a group of young teens who must solve the mystery surrounding sudden and macabre deaths in their small town. Kevin Hageman and Dan Hageman (The LEGO Movie) wrote the most recent draft based on the books."

Del Toro had previously been attached as a director but, possibly due to his busy scheduled, has stepped aside to have Øvredal take the reins.

The trilogy of books were comprised of short horror stories aimed at children, written by Alvin Schwartz. Originally published in 1984, the books have sold more than 7 million copies. In addition to Schwartz's stories causing nightmares, the iconic series also frightened and fascinated young readers with Steven Gammell's macabre and grotesque illustrations.

The Norwegian TrollHunter was a mockumentary film about a man who was tasked with locating and eradicating various trolls that roamed the countryside in a discrete manner so the public was kept in the dark about the fantastical creatures.

In The Autopsy of Jane Doe, two employees of a morgue attempt to determine the cause of death for an anonymous body, leading them down a dangerous and deadly rabbit hole.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is only the latest project featuring horror stories aimed at younger audiences to get the live-action treatment.

In 2015, Goosebumps featured multiple villains from the book series of the same name coming to life to terrorize author R.L. Stine, played by Jack Black in the film. A sequel will hit theaters in 2018.

Last month, a film adaptation of the TV series Are You Afraid of the Dark? was announced with IT writer Gary Dauberman attached. The Nickelodeon series featured teens meeting every week by a campfire to tell each other horrifying tales. That film will land in theaters in 2019.

The Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark adaptation is headed into production next summer.

Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Thread

Last week @konceptjones asked me about trying to flip 30 dollars worth of bitcoin into a few hundred, so I thought it would be good to get more people into trading bitcoin. It's unconventional, and I had a lot of doubts about it, but since starting in January I have made good money.

This is what I started with. Now this is what I have today.

The second photo is the important one for this first post. You can see that my current portfolio is actually made up of virtual currencies that are not bitcoin, even though the value is given at the top in bitcoin and US dollars. The trick to really making this money is trading your bitcoin for the other currencies, then trading back when bitcoin experiences price drops. Right now it's at an all time high, and is primed to reach $2,000.00 USD. If it hits there it seems likely that there will be retrace in that time. Right now a good chunk of my portfolio is made up of something called GNT (Golem Network Token). It's technically not a currency, but actually a token that users can exchange in order to access the Golem Network. The golem network is a super computer, made up of a network of computers, that users can use to help them perform demanding tasks. For example, doing computer generated graphics requires a lot of computer power and can take a long time. To make it faster, someone could use their GNT to access the network and do the work in much less time. Currently, the tech is still in Alpha, but if you have some bitcoin to spare I would suggest grabbing some now since the price is still quite low.

That's it for my first post. I'll do a second post later to cover how to sell your bitcoins, and another one on when to sell to get the most money.

Good luck trading

Is Slim Shady ready for his return?

Four years after The Marshall Mathers LP 2, Eminem will reportedly release his eighth major label solo studio album on Nov. 17, according to HITS Daily Double.

The news comes shortly after frequent collaborator Denaun Porter said that Eminem was “done” with his latest effort. The rapper-producer later walked back those comments, claiming he was simply trolling the trolls on his Instagram Live feed.

But the revelation also follows rumors about a Pink collaboration titled “Revenge” and its forthcoming music video. It was later confirmed that the song is for Pink’s new album Beautiful Trauma, which drops Friday.

Previously Allen Hughes and 2 Chainz both claimed that Eminem was working on his next album. Tity Boi would later redact his comments, saying he didn’t know what Eminem was up to.

Aside from working on his next solo LP, Slim Shady is also teaming up with longtime collaborator-mentor Dr. Dre for new music for Joseph Kahn’s Bodied, a battle rap-based film that Em is producing.

Steven Spielberg once said that he does "Movie Orgy" every now and again where he will watch several films in over a week's time. Well I recently did this thanks to Redbox and Blockbuster express where films are only a Dollar. From April 6th to 16th over 10 days I watched 18 films, here are the movies I watched, mind you I haven't seen any of them

The Hunger Games (Theater)- C+
Captain America B-
The Hangover II- C
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo- B+
Thor- C +
Contagion- B -
The Killer Elite- D
Hanna- B -
Green Lateran- C +
J. Edgar- C -
In Time- C
The Adventures of Tin-Tin- B -
Real Steel - C +
Drive - A
Colombiana - C+
Zodiac (Finally finished Ficher's Whole catalog) - B +
Vantage Point- C +
Gone Baby Gone- A

It was pretty cool to catch on on so many movies I hadn't seen. Overall, "Gone Baby Gone" and "Drive" had the most impact.
