Shout out to every active white poster on the I.c. Streets.

Y’all mfs got some thick skin for real. All the race related shit posted yet y’all still contribute.

That’s dedication. That’s black power right there. Y’all know and see what your melanin deficient brethren refuses to acknowledge.

I’m surrounded by white ppl all day everyday during business hours. If only 20% of the whites I deal with had y’all level of understanding, my days would be so much easier.

Most of the Caucasian posters have fallen to the wayside but the ones that remain....salute

The Ugandan Snowboarder Gunning for the Olympics

image

The places represented in the Winter Olympics, and snowboarding in particular, tend to be pretty easy to predict - North America, Europe, Japan every once in a while. But never Africa. Brolin Mawejje is looking to change that. With some financial backing and a bit of luck - Brolin will look to compete for Uganda in slopestyle snowboarding in PyeongChang 2018. Throughout his journey from Kampala to Jackson Hole, Brolin and his buddies created Far From Home (available for pre-order on Vimeo on Demand now) by documenting the whole journey.

Just to make things a bit more simple, especially considering Marvel and Fox probably won't be collaborating any time soon.

Also, it hasn't been said for sure whether or not FF will crossover with X Men, but Deadpool almost certainly will.

Big Sean & Metro Boomin Announce Joint Album "Double Or Nothing"

Metro Boomin is clearly a fan of the days where one producer and one rapper would team up to record an entire project. This year alone, Metro laced the beats for Gucci Mane's DropTopWop, Nav's Perfect Timing, and Offset & 21 Savage's Without Warning. Today, the prolific Atlanta producer has announced yet another addition to his repertoire - a collaboration album with Detroit rapper Big Sean, called Double Or Nothing. The news was confirmed in an interview with Billboard, who spoke to the duo at their rented house in California.

Metro opens up by explaining why he prefers the single-producer, citing a few key classics as examples. "I was born in ’93,” he says, “and a lot of projects [from that era] had one producer, maybe two. They sounded more cohesive -- better as a whole.” Metro had previously collaborated with Big Sean's I Decided single "Bounce Back," as well as two other tracks from that album. Most recently, they teamed up to deliver "Pull Up N Wreck" with 21 Savage. And while Metro's signature sound has since went on to shape the hip-hop landscape, Double Or Nothing will reportedly find him exploring new styles and genres.

Apparently, the project was made in both Atlanta and Los Angeles, with plenty of spontaneous writing sessions. Basically, Metro would make a beat on the spot, and Sean would follow-suit with lyrics. Sean alleges "on some tracks, the playback will bleed into the microphone, because they recorded without a vocal booth or even a pair of headphones."

While there has yet to be a release date for Double Or Nothing, you never know with these "surprise" albums. It could be dropping next week, or next year for all we know. What do ya'll think about this one? Did you like Metro and Sean's previous work? Sound off below, and stay tuned for more news on this pleasant surprise.

Colin Kaepernick refuses “to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people”...

Colin Kaepernick explains protest of national anthem

SANTA CLARA, Ca. -- Forty Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick has willingly and knowingly immersed himself into controversy by refusing to stand for the playing of the national anthem in protest of what he deems are wrongdoings against African Americans and minorities in the United States.

His latest refusal to stand for the anthem -- he has done this in at least one other preseason game -- came before the 49ers preseason loss to Green Bay at Levi's Stadium.

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game against Green Bay. "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder."

The 49ers issued this statement: "The national anthem is and always will be a special part of the pre-game ceremony. It is an opportunity to honor our country and reflect on the great liberties we are afforded as its citizens. In respecting such American principles as freedom of religion and freedom of expression, we recognize the right of an individual to choose and participate, or not, in our celebration of the national anthem."

By taking a stand for civil rights, Kaepernick, 28, joins other athletes, like the NBA's Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony and several WNBA players in using their platform and status to raise awareness to issues affecting minorities in the U.S.

However, refusal to support the American flag as a means to take a stand has brought incredible backlash before and likely will in this instance. The NBA's Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf of the Denver Nuggets, formerly Chris Jackson before converting to Islam, refused to acknowledge the flag in protest, citing similar reasons as Kaepernick and saying that it conflicted with some of his Islamic beliefs.

Abdul-Rauf drew the ire of fans and was briefly suspended by the NBA before a compromise was worked out between the league and player, who eventually stood with his teammates and coaches at the playing of the national anthem.

Kaepernick said that he is aware of what he is doing and that he knows it will not sit well with a lot of people, including the 49ers. He said that he did not inform the club or anyone affiliated with the team of his intentions to protest the national anthem.

"This is not something that I am going to run by anybody," he said. "I am not looking for approval. I have to stand up for people that are oppressed. ... If they take football away, my endorsements from me, I know that I stood up for what is right."

Kaepernick said that he has thought about going public with his feelings for a while but that "I felt that I needed to understand the situation better."

He said that he has discussed his feelings with his family and, after months of witnessing some of the civil unrest in the U.S., decided to be more active and involved in rights for black people. Kaepernick, who is biracial, was adopted and raised by white parents and siblings.

Kaepernick's Twitter feed is filled with civil rights Tweets and messages.

The former Super Bowl starting quarterback's decision to go public comes while he is fighting for his football life with the 49ers, who drafted him in the second round in 2011. He lost his starting job last season after being one of the most promising players in the NFL during his run under former coach Jim Harbaugh.

Over the past few months, his relationship with management has turned sour. He requested a trade last spring, which never came to fruition. He also has spent most of the offseason rehabilitating from operations to his left (non-throwing) shoulder, his hand and knee. That left him unable to fully compete with Blaine Gabbert for months and now, just weeks before the regular season starts, has him seemingly in a bind to regain his starting job.

He made his preseason debut against the Packers and played for the second quarter, completing two of six passes for 14 yards. He looked as rusty as you'd expect from someone who has not played since last November.

Following the game and without any knowledge of Kaepernick's non-football behavior, coach Chip Kelly said that there has never been any discussion about cutting Kaepernick.

Egyptian singer sentenced to prison for video 'inciting debauchery'

http://edition.cnn.com/2017/12/13/middleeast/egypt-singer-shyma-ahmed-prison-intl/index.html

A court in Egypt has sentenced a female pop singer to two years in prison for "inciting debauchery and immortality" in an online music video, according to reports by Egypt's state-run Al-Ahram online.
The music video of the song "I Have Issues" was released last month and sparked immediate controversy because of its sexually suggestive scenes. In the video, Shyma Ahmed, a 21-year-old artist who is known by the name Shyma, is seen cavorting in a bra before a group of wide-eyed smiling men. On a chalkboard behind her is written "class #69." In a subsequent scene, she slowly eats a banana.

Egypt state media outlets report that the singer and the director of the music video, Mohamed Gamal, were arrested on November 18 after the video's release. They were also ordered to pay a fine of 10,000 Egyptian pounds (approximately $560).

Both are expected to appeal the verdict.
Since taking power in 2014, the government of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has blocked critical voices from TV and print, and scrubbed digital content, according to Amnesty International.
Though the government crackdown has mainly targeted news and human rights reporting, it has drawn in entertainers -- in 2011, comedian Bassem Youssef canceled his widely popular political satire show on Egyptian TV, citing safety concerns for himself and his family.
The legal reasons used to block web sites and content has been ambiguous, Amnesty says. Several Egyptian laws can be used to censor the media and the internet, on the grounds of national security, the group says.
Days before her arrest, Ahmed shared her thoughts on Facebook.
"My apologizes to all people who watched the video and did not like it because they think it's inappropriate," read the post. "I did not expect such a harsh backlash from people."
"As a singer, I only sung the song and I do not have any knowledge and understanding in direction and many other things."

Wusup family! Hope y'all all good. I don't know what the weather is were all you other cats live but it's a beautiful Saturday morning where I'm at. It's time for it y'all, time for that Saturday song battle where we put a different song vs the champ of the week.

Right now Wu tang Clan is currently on top of that championship mountain after a dominant almost hostile take over last week. They didn't just win the title from Big, I mean they snatch that crown off the former champ about as thoroughly as you can do. The vote difference was almost abusive and surprising to me to say the least. Well it's @Ibex week to take the keys so he has the authority to up the thread and not sway voters but tag them. Swaying is somewhat allowed but only in making post as your reasoning behind why you voted for who you voted for. You actually wanna post your vote and sway me somewhat because regardless of who I vote for, if you write the best vote in the thread and it's a tie Sunday afternoon that one thorough respectable game recognize game vote is gonna be the tie breaker. So let's get it on shall we?!!

In this corner we have the one week champ going for two, let's give it up for Wu with Cash. Rules.Everything.Around. Me!

And in this Corner....we have one of the best MC's to ever do it and I'm kinda surprised he don't have a championship run by now please welcome Nas who brought a legendary friend with him in the R&B world....ladies and gents, give it up for Street Dreams the remix featuring R Kelly!!
