Rate My Presidents Volume 1: Abraham Lincoln
I've been meaning to make this thread a while ago back during the 2012 Election. So Obama has been elected, and I watched the movie, Lincoln, about a week ago. Made me think about our presidents and how well/badly they've done. So I thought it'd be nice to discuss and rate these presidents and maybe even learn a thing or two about American history.
The rules are as simple as the American grading system for secondary schools: you vote and give the president an A, B, C, D, or F. The criteria for the grading are indefinite but should include major ones like handling of foreign and domestic political affairs, handling of the economy, handling of the American people and society, overall legacy on America, etc. If criteria such as personality, wit, fashion, etc have to be counted, then please have them counted in only a minor way because the grade should be about how well the president did his job, not so much about what kind of person he was/is. And try to give some explanation for your final grade.
![Abraham_Lincoln_November_1863.jpg]()
So, first up is Abraham Lincoln, whose recent biopic I actually enjoyed. But the obvious problem with Lincoln is that he's romanticized to such an extent that the real person is lost and replaced by an idealized image of him. Only a few Americans actually know that Lincoln was not the savior-saint that media paints him to be. He was incredibly shrewd and therefore hated by his enemies and some of his friends (Frederick Douglass even "hated" him). His initial, sole purpose for the Civil War was to preserve the Union, not to free the slaves. In fact he expressed his racist views many times before his election and stated that he would've preserved slavery or shipped all the slaves back to Africa if that meant preserving the Union. And the legality of his war against the Confedaracy is a whole 'nother, complicated issue.
However, I still think that he eventually grew into a good person and president. As a smart, strong, and tactical commander-in-chief, he did succeed in preserving the Union and abolishing slavery, which was seen as an impossible feat by many. He was also merciful and understanding (as opposed to being a brutal dictator) to the Confederate States, which could've helped the healing process for the Union if it wasn't for John Wilkes Booth's dumb ass. I'm guessing that the war also stimulated the economy. And lastly, he was one of the few presidents to start out poor and politically disadavntaged. He lived the American Dream (from rags to riches) and showed that the American president could be a "common man."

Juelz Santana Says Lil Wayne Will Executive Produce His Album
Though it's unclear when, if ever, Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana's I Can't Feel My Face will be released, the two emcees will be working together in another capacity.
In an interview with MTV's RapFix Live, the New York emcee revealed that Wayne will be executive producing his album.
"I went out to Miami to chop it up with Wayne. I actually asked him to executive produce my album, Born to Lose, [Bult to Win]," said Juelz.
Despite the gravity of the move, Juelz didn't make a big deal out of the situation: "It's big to me, and it's a beautiful thing, but Wayne is like my brother. So I knew once I asked him to do it... I'm sure if I woulda went to Cash Money, I coulda went to Cash Money, but that wasn't... The best thing to do is to reach out to him and figure out how we can still make it the best thing possible, and I figured ask him to executive produce my album would be a great thing. He agreed to it, so that's gonna be coming up [soon]."

So I started hanging up decorations and my neighbor called the police on me..
So I recently moved from Newark NJ to Maple Shade New Jersey which is predominantly white.. I moved from a apartment to a house. I moved there because it was close to work.
This is the first xmas in this house and what I noticed is nobody really has any xmas lights up.. Anyway I started hanging up lights.. Took me 2 days to finish. When I started my neighbor kept coming outside asking me questions about what I'm doing and kept saying I better not be doing anything to bring his property value down and that what I was doing was illegal.
I thought he was joking until the cops pulled up and told me my neighbors said the lights was disturbing they sleep. Mind you it was still day time. Anyway I was told I had to turn them off or face a ordinance fine.
Today I noticed a cop sitting at the end of my block when I left.. I stopped completely at the stop sign and this dude still pulled me over. Talking about it was routine.
I'm started to feel like I have a long road of racial harassment ahead of me.. Any advice? I don't wanna leave my home. My girl went through the same thing when she put flowers outside. Something about we need a permit to do it..

Barry Sanders - A football life, 12/5 8pm EST
Barry Sanders was the most electric running back in NFL history, and he's the next person of interest for NFL Films' A Football Life series.
Blessed with jaw-dropping agility, quickness, speed and raw power, the diminutive Sanders put together a highlight reel that no player will ever match.
Here are the details you need to know about the show:
Date: December 5, 2012
Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
Channel: NFL Network
Trailer: Watch the official trailer here, courtesy of NFL Films.
http://www.nfl.com/videos/detroit-lions/0ap2000000105287/Barry-Sanders-A-Football-Life-extended-preview
More on Sanders' Incredible Story
Sanders wasn't highly recruited out of college due to his slight stature. At 5'7", most colleges didn't believe he could stand up to the physical beating that running backs take.
They were wrong.
Sanders burst on to the scene at Oklahoma State as a junior after backing up Thurman Thomas, a fellow NFL Hall of Fame inductee.
He rushed for 2,628 yards and 37 touchdowns in 1988—one of the greatest seasons in college football history, and one that earned Sanders the Heisman Trophy.
Then, Sanders took his show to the NFL in 1989.
His NFL career was legendary, as he rushed for 15,269 yards and caught 352 passes for 2,921 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Sanders then shocked the NFL world when he suddenly retired in 1999 while still in the prime of his career.
Make sure to catch his entire story on NFL Network on December 5 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Why did J.Cole "Miss America" single flop?
Didn't even make it into the Itunes Top 200. Sitting at number 99 on the Hip Hop Itunes. Won't be surprised if Roc-Nation forces J.Cole to make another single catering to women.

Thoughts on Keyshia Cole's album - Woman to Woman??
I haven't checked for Keyshia since a couple projects ago. We all know she's not the greatest vocalist but she has a cool lil unique sound.
This project is cool and everything but it seems extremely bitter. I don't understand because of where she's at in life right now. It makes it kinda hard to enjoy as a male... you not Mary, b.
The single with Wayne was a good choice. My favorite track is probably Wonderland (featuring Elijah Blake). Overall I give it a 3.5/5 on first listen.

Why are people so aloof to politics ?
Based on a lot of observations, particularly of the behavior of the youth, but also on adults as well. Inspired by this exact post:
What is wrong with having a concern for politics? I do not understand why the general consensus is that politics are boring or don't matter. This is how poor leaders end up in positions of power.
Do you have young people in your life that just don't give a shit about politics? Do you know why it is?
It does not make sense to me how we can have a section of the forum dedicated to men drooling over scantily clad females receive more participation than a section that deals strictly with the ideas and events that shape our world today.
I miss this lupe. he wasn't on that extreme political shit, and when he wanted to rap about an issue, he spit about it and that was it, didn;t have none of these antics on twitter or whatever. He starting to become like one of those smart dumb niggas on your facebook page that's always rambling about something.
