First Picture of Quebec Mosque Gunman.... He's White!!!!

UNIVERSITY student Alexandre Bissonnette is the sole suspect in a mass shooting at a Quebec City mosque that killed six worshippers, a source said.
A second person being held in connection with the shooting at the Islamic Cultural Centre on Sunday night and is now considered a witness and not a suspect, the source added.
He was identified as Mohamed el Khadir and believed to be of Moroccan descent.
Bissonnette, 27, was arrested by Canadian police about 24km from the scene after reportedly calling police to say he was armed but ready to surrender.
US President Donald Trump called Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday to express his condolences and offer assistance.

More than 50 people were at the mosque when the shooting erupted in the men’s section.
The six victims were reportedly aged between 35 and 65. A hospital spokeswoman said five were in critical condition and 12 others suffered minor injuries.
Sûreté du Quebec spokeswoman Christine Coulombe told TVA: “There is nothing to suggest that there are other suspects.”

Trudeau and Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard both characterised the attack as a terrorist act, which came amid heightened tensions worldwide over Trump’s travel ban on seven Muslim countries.
“We condemn this terrorist attack on Muslims in a centre of worship and refuge,” Trudeau said in a statement.
“It is heart-wrenching to see such senseless violence. Diversity is our strength, and religious tolerance is a value that we, as Canadians, hold dear. Muslim-Canadians are an important part of our national fabric, and these senseless acts have no place in our communities, cities and country.”
Canada is generally very welcoming toward immigrants and all religions, but the French-speaking province of Quebec has had a long-simmering debate about race and religious accommodation.
The previous separatist government of the province called for a ban on religious symbols such as the hijab in public institutions.
The mayor of Gatineau, Quebec, near Canada’s capital of Ottawa, said there would be an increased police presence at mosques around his city following the attack.

HOH Country Edition.......Russia votes to decriminalize domestic violence
NewRussia parliament votes 380-3 to decriminalize domestic violence
Russia's parliament voted 380-3 on Friday to decriminalize domestic violence in cases where it does not cause "substantial bodily harm" and does not occur more than once a year.
The move, which eliminates criminal liability in such cases, makes a violation punishable by a fine of roughly $500, or a 15-day arrest, provided there is no repeat within 12 months.
The bill now goes to the rubber-stamp upper chamber, where no opposition is expected. It then must be signed by President Vladimir Putin, who has signaled his support.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told journalists that family conflicts do "not necessarily constitute domestic violence."
Kremlin: Trump, Putin to speak by phone Saturday
The passage by the parliament, or Duma, reverses a ruling by the Supreme Court last year, subsequently backed by parliament, that decriminalized battery that does not inflict bodily harm, but retained criminal charges involving battery against family members. That reform is effectively reversed by Friday's vote.
Andrei Isayev of the main Kremlin faction, the United Russia, said lawmakers are “heeding the public call” by correcting a mistake they made last year.
Russia is one of three countries in Europe and Central Asia that do not have laws specifically targeting domestic violence, according to The Economist.
Reports: Arrested Russian intel officer allegedly spied for U.S.
Critics of the new measure warned it would encourage domestic violence and fuel crime.
“This bill would establish violence as a norm of conduct,” Communist lawmaker Yuri Sinelshchikov said during the debate.
Women's rights lawyer Mari Davtyan told The Moscow Times that the legislative moves are dangerous and "send a message that the state doesn’t consider familial battery fundamentally wrong anymore.”
A survey this month by state-run pollster VTsIOM found 19% of Russians said “it can be acceptable” to hit one’s wife, husband or child “in certain circumstances,” the Associated Press reported. The nationwide poll by phone of 1,800 people was held Jan. 13-15. The survey had a margin of error of 2.5 percentage points.
What Russians are Googling about President Donald Trump
In many ways, this reflects the thrust of an old Russian proverb: “If he beats you it means he loves you.”
According to Russian government statistics from the Interior Ministry, 40% of all violent crimes are committed within the family. The figures correlate to 36,000 women being beaten by their partners every day and 26,000 children being assaulted by their parents every year.
Last year's revised law, when it took in effect in July, quickly drew opponents, notably ultra-conservative Russian lawmaker Yelena Mizulina, who called it "anti-family" and said it undermined parents' "right" to beat their children.
That view was echoed at the time by The All-Russian Parents’ Resistance movement that warned on its website that "(p)arents no longer have the right to choose methods of upbringing.”
Russian journalist has advice for Americans covering Trump
Alyona Popova, activist and women’s rights advocate, lamented that this attitude is widespread in Russia, The Moscow Times reported. “Traditional, or rather archaic values have become popular again,” she said.
Even Russian police are often reluctant to get involved in domestic violence cases, which many regard as meddling in family affairs.
In November, prosecutors began investigating a police officer who took a call from a woman complaining about her boyfriend’s aggressive behavior. Instead of offering help, the officer reportedly told the woman that the police would only come if she got killed. Shortly afterward, the man beat the woman to death, the AP reported.

Welp Looks Like Lyft is About To Take All of Uber's Customers
#DeleteUber Campaign Ignites After Trump Supporter CEO Violates Muslim Ban Taxi Strike
![C3TttwVWEAAlGCr.jpg:large]()
The ride-sharing app lost hundreds of users Saturday night
Hundreds of social media users began deleting their Uber applications Saturday night after the company was accused of breaking the taxi driver strike in New York City amidst protests against President Donald Trump’s ban on Muslim immigrants.
Drivers affiliated with the New York Taxi Workers Alliance refused to pick up passengers 6pm and 7pm Saturday night while protesters demonstrated against President Trump’s executive order inside John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Nearly 30 minutes after the initial strike ended, Uber announced that it had suspended surge pricing in the area. “Surge pricing has been turned off at #JFK Airport,” the company tweeted. “This may result in longer wait times. Please be patient.”
This initiated hundreds of Twitter users to condemn the company and #DeleteUber began trending worldwide. People began sharing screenshots of themselves deleting the ride sharing application from their cellphones.
Shortly after the hashtag picked up steam, the company claimed that it never intended to gain profits off the strike. “Last tweet not meant to break strike,” the company said on Twitter, while sharing CEO Travis Kalanick’s official statement on the travel ban on Muslim-majority countries.
Mr Kalanick and his company also faced criticism after he joined the president’s business advisory council. In his statement regarding the ban, he promised to compensate drivers from the seven countries who may be banned from reentering the country.
"This ban will impact many innocent people,” he said, “an issue that I will raise this coming Friday when I go to Washington for President Trump's first business advisory group meeting.”
Protestors rally at JFK Airport against Muslim immigration ban
Meanwhile, Uber’s competition capitalized on their misfortune. Lyft, Uber’s rival, issued a statement condemning the executive actions while promising to donate $1 million to the American Civil Liberties Union.
“Banning people of a particular faith or creed, race or identity, sexuality or ethnicity, from entering the U.S. is antithetical to both Lyft’s and our nation’s core values,” the company’s statement read. “We stand firmly against these actions, and will not be silent on issues that threaten the values of our community.”
