Already know I'm a get the "who watches First Take anymore" comment but who cares, I have to voice my dismay for Cari Champion as host she's just horrible bro... Aside from her rooting for the hometown squad Lakers, she just wrecks my nerves in everyway, everyday... She stutters, she fucks up on guest names and athletes all the time, she's always ad-libbing on some Jim Jones early dipset shyt at the wrong time. The main problem I have with her is that she cuts people off constantly and she talks over people and is too damn loud at that... its rude and slightly disrespectful...

She's really not that bomb either, she looks like a regular Cali chick for you dudes who thinks she's bad, she's maybe a 7.8... Her looks aren't good enough for me to look past how shitty of a host she is for the show... It's apparent that Stephen A and Skip usually dont give too much of a care about her, they barely try to recognize any of her opinions usually and just keep talking on... Charissa Thompson shits Cari as a host, idk how she couldn't have gotten that gig off of her... Cari is young tho and she may be able to improve as a host but will she have the time because its obvious that she struggles at this job,

Quentin Tarantino is planning to strike down upon Gawker Media with great vengeance and furious anger for allegedly posting his unproduced script The Hateful Eight online.

Last week, the famed filmmaker was outraged to learn that his western screenplay had been leaked and circulated. He was so upset in fact that he announced on Tuesday that he would no longer be making the film as his next feature, opting instead to publish the story in book form.

Then on Thursday, Gawker's Defamer blog posted an article linking to the Hateful Eight script for all the world to see (and download).


"Gawker Media has made a business of predatory journalism, violating people's rights to make a buck," stated Tarantino's lawsuit, via THR. "This time, they went too far. Rather than merely publishing a news story reporting that Plaintiff's screenplay may have been circulating in Hollywood without his permission, Gawker Media crossed the journalistic line by promoting itself to the public as the first source to read the entire Screenplay illegally."

The document continues, "Their headline boasts... 'Here,' not someplace else, but 'Here' on the Gawker website. The article then contains multiple direct links for downloading the entire Screenplay through a conveniently anonymous URL by simply clicking button-links on the Gawker page, and brazenly encourages Gawker visitors to read the Screenplay illegally with the invitation to 'Enjoy!' it."


This isn't the first time Gawker has pushed the boundaries of sensitive material. Last year, for example, the blog site squared off with Lena Dunham after they refused to remove her book proposal that they posted. According to Tarantino's suit, Gawker has yet to back down from "repeat demands for the removal of the posted URL links," and at the time of this writing, that remains to be true.

THR notes that Tarantino is demanding "actual and statutory damages as well as Gawker's profits in the amount of at least $1 million."

Humans are genetically predisposed to raise children as a way of passing on their genes to the next generation. For some, the struggle to raise a child in decent conditions is becoming harder due to gross overpopulation and an increasingly strained global environment.

This project approaches the problem of human reproduction in an age of overcrowding, overdevelopment and environmental crisis. With potential food shortages and a population of nearly seven billion people, would a woman consider incubating and giving birth to an endangered species such as a shark, tuna or dolphin? This project introduces the argument for giving birth to our food to satisfy our demands for nutrition and childbirth, and discusses some of the technical details of how this might be possible.

Would raising this animal as a child change its value so drastically that we would be unable to consume it because it would be imbued with the love of motherhood? The Maui’s dolphin has been chosen as the ideal ‘baby’ for this piece. It is one of the world’s rarest and smallest dolphins, classified critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation’s Red List of Threatened Species (version 2.3) because of the side effects of fishing activity by humans, its size (which closely matches the size of a human baby), and its high intelligence level and communication abilities.

Synthetic Dolp-human Placenta
To make it possible for a human mother to deliver a dolphin from her womb, there is a need to synthesise ‘The Dolp-human Placenta’. The usual human placenta interacts to pass from mother to baby oxygen, carbon dioxide, nutrients, hormones, antibodies (Immunoglobulin Gamma, IgG) and so on. The Dolp-human placenta blocks the delivery of IgG to the baby. The placenta originates from the baby’s side, which in this case is a dolphin, and not from the human side. This avoids the ethical and legal difficulties associated with reproductive research involving human eggs. The decidua is formed by implantation of the egg. Usually, foreign cells in the body (for example from other individuals) are attacked by the immune system, but inside the decidua they are tolerated. However, even though the decidua accepts cells from other individuals, non-human cells would still be attacked. In the dolp-human placenta case, it has been modified to distinguish mammal from non-mammal cells, making it even more tolerant.

Colostrum or first milk The Dolp-human placenta blocks the delivery of human IgG to the dolphin baby. Usually the Dolphin placenta does not pass immunity from the mother. Instead it is passed by the ‘first milk’, which contains high levels of several antibodies. The human mother needs to feed synthesised first milk to the baby immediately after the delivery.

3 ppl dead in columbia maryland mall shooting

COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) — Someone armed with a gun opened fire at a busy shopping mall in suburban Baltimore on Saturday, sending store employees and customers scrambling for cover. Police said three people died, including the person believed to be the shooter, in an apparent murder-suicide.

The attack took place at a skate shop called Zumiez on the upper level of the Mall in Columbia, a suburb of both Baltimore and Washington, according to Howard County Police.

Someone called 911 at around 11:15 a.m. to report a shooting at the mall. Police responded to the scene and found three people dead, including one person who was found near a gun and ammunition. No details were released about their identities. Police said they had confirmed the identity of one victim.

Howard County General Hospital has confirmed it is treating another person for a gunshot wound to the foot, county police said via Twitter.

The mall is at the center of the town and typically opens at 10 a.m. on Saturdays. It was busy with shoppers and employees when shots rang out before noon, sending scores of people scampering to find the nearest hiding place. Many found cover in backrooms of stores and barricaded themselves in until police arrived.

Joan Harding of Elkridge, Md., was shopping with her husband, David, for a tiara for their granddaughter's 18th birthday. She said she heard something heavy falling, followed by gunshots and people running.

"My husband said, 'Get down!' and the girl that worked in the store said, 'Get in the back,' " Harding said. That is where they hid until police searched the mall and signaled it was safe to leave.

At a news conference, Howard County Police Chief William J. McMahon said police are relatively confident that there was only one shooter.

"We don't know a motive yet," McMahon said. "We are very confident that it was a single shooter, and there was not another shooter in the mall."

The mall was closed to the public as police went store to store looking for people who might still be hiding, McMahon said. It will remain closed at least through the night.

McMahon said the shooting occurred at a store on the upper floor. He said it wasn't clear whether the shooting was random or whether the shooter and victims knew each other. While not explicitly calling it a murder-suicide, he said officers did not fire any shots when they arrived at the scene.

Witnesses described moments of panic as they heard a succession of gunshots and screaming as people ran for cover into nearby stores and hid behind locked doors.

Tonya Broughton of Silver Spring, Md., was with a friend getting facials for a 'girls morning out,' she said. "The only thing I heard was all the people running and screaming and saying 'There's a shooter! There's a shooter!' " she said.

Wearing a gel face mask, she and her friend hunkered down in a Victoria's Secret store.

People were directed out of the mall and into a parking lot, where some boarded a bus and others walked toward their cars. Some people were seen crying. McMahon said detectives were interviewing witnesses as they emerged from the mall to try to get a better picture of the events that had unfolded.

Laura McKindles of Columbia works at a kiosk in the mall. She said she heard between eight and 10 gunshots, followed by people running and screaming. She ran into the backroom of a perfume store and locked the door.

Allison Cohen, who works at the apparel store Lucky Brand Jeans, said she always felt safe at the mall.

"I truly never thought something like this would ever happen here," Cohen said. "It's really, really shocking."

Just as she has on so many other NFL Sundays (and a few Mondays, too) over the last four years, Smith will use tape to put her son's number on the back of her khaki-colored shirt.

Thomas' most devoted fan base might be inside the Federal Correctional Institution in Tallahassee, a minimum-security women's facility where his mother and grandmother, Minnie Pearl Thomas, have been incarcerated since 2000. Both were convicted of charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute crack cocaine.

Idk if Wale belongs in the Failed or underwhelming category but when I was listening to Wale ft. Rhianna Contemplate the other day, I did think he should have been wayyyyyyyy bigger than he is now.. This nigga had songs with lady Gaga AND Rhianna and still didn't make a real dent.. But I think he should have built a bigger fan base before jumping on song with 2of the biggest pop stars today.. They overshadowed him and Chilling was just plain Wack..

Another was juelz Santana.. Somewhere between 04-06 he should have took over the game .. He just didn't capitalize on it..then beefed with his boss.. I still don't know what that nigga was thinking

The NSA and its British counterpart are tapping popular smartphone apps such as Angry Birds to peek into the tremendous amounts of very personal data those bits of software collect -- including age, location, sex and even sexual preferences, according to new reports from the New York Times and The Guardian.

Citing confidential documents provided by whistleblower Edward Snowden, the reports detail efforts to supplement data collection from cell phone carriers and smartphones by tapping into “leaky” apps themselves.

“Some apps, the documents state, can share users' most sensitive information such as sexual orientation – and one app recorded in the material even sends specific sexual preferences such as whether or not the user may be a swinger,” the Guardian said.

That information can come from a user profile, which may contain martial status -- options included "single," "married," "divorced," "swinger" and more, the report said.

Both spy agencies showed a particular interest in Google Maps, which is accurate to within a few yards or better in some locations and would clearly pass along data about a phone owner's whereabouts.

“It effectively means that anyone using Google Maps on a smartphone is working in support of a GCHQ system,” reads a secret 2008 report by the NSA's sister spy agency, according to the New York Times.

More surprising is the wide range of apps that the agencies cull for data, including innocent-seeming apps such as Angry Birds. One document in particular from GCHQ listed what information can be extracted from which apps, citing Android apps but suggesting the same data was available from the iPhone platform.

Angry Birds maker Rovio said it had no knowledge of any NSA or GCHQ programs or mechanisms for tapping into its users’ data.

"Rovio doesn't have any previous knowledge of this matter, and have not been aware of such activity in 3rd party advertising networks," said Saara Bergstrom, Rovio's VP of marketing and communications. "Nor do we have any involvement with the organizations you mentioned [NSA and GCHQ]."

Mobile photo uploads appear to be a particularly rich source of information for the spy agencies as well. Metadata in the photos -- which is often ultimately stripped from pictures by social media sites like Facebook and Twitter -- is briefly available.

The NSA and GCHQ are able to tap into that metadat to collect a wealth of key data points about a person’s life, including age, gender, marital status (“Options include single, married, divorced, swinger and more,” The Guardian said), income, education level and more.

“NSA does not profile everyday Americans as it carries out its foreign intelligence mission,” the agency told the Times in response to questions about the program.

During a Monday press conference, White House press secretary Jay Carney stressed that same position.

"As the president said in his Jan. 17 speech, to the extent data is collected by the NSA, through whatever means, we are not interested in the communications of people who are not valid foreign intelligence targets and we are not after the information of ordinary Americans," he said.
